    1. indulgence instead of abstinence
    2. vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams
    3. undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit
    4. kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates
    5. vengeance instead of turning the other cheek
    6. responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires
    7. man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his divine spiritual and intellectual development, has become the most vicious animal of all
    8. all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification

So do they describe how you REALLY feel now that you have discovered freedom?

There is one more statement you might consider, in doing so you may be surprised to see the source of the statements:

I don't think any of those issues are as simplistic to deserve yes or no answers.

I disagree with number 7. I do not believe that man is just another animal. Most (not all) humans are basically good, in my opinion. I don't think it's fair to generalize the entire human race.

"I am not an animal"....Elephant Man

Who determines what constitutes spiritual pipe dreams? No. 2

Who decides what is hypocritical self deceit? No. 3

Who are the ingrates? No. 4

What is the identity of the psychic vampires? No. 6

Shall we let Anton LaVey tell us? And why should I accept his philosophies over mine?

Kenneson you missed the point...hearty well done.

The point was to show people that we have been led to believe how "evil" Satanist philosophy is.

People are seeing the source of the quotes now and trying to distance themselves from them but go read all the threads they post and see if their actions (posts in the past) align themselves with the 9 principles....where are all the raunchy sex posters now? Where are the liberal thinkers? They see the word Satan and they run...its too funny for words!!!!

As an aside: I am not a Satanist....I believe people should think for themselves and formulate their own opinions based on research on logical consistency.

I have researched and I have formulated the opinion based on my research and logic, and I have come to the conclusion that the Church of Satan is indeed evil. Anyone who thinks otherwise is insane like the founder.

What christianity preaches about the Church of Satan has had no impact on my opinion, nor do the 9 principles give it any credibility.

    What is your purpose here?

    indulgence instead of abstinence

No, I don't agree. These are not the only choices.

vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams

    Yes.

undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit

To the extent possible, I avoid self-deceit. What does "undefiled wisdom" mean?

kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates

    No, I do not agree.

vengeance instead of turning the other cheek

Depends on the circumstances. I'm not big on vengeance. Self defense during the offense, yes. Vengeance afterward... like I said, depends on the circumstances.

responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires

    Uh... huh?

man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his divine spiritual and intellectual development, has become the most vicious animal of all

    Yes.

all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification

    Murder leads to gratification?
