Just curious here eh ,why are so many here convinced that God is going to kill children.The way I see it there are so people in the world killing their own young at the abortion clinic, when the us goes on bombing capaigns they are always killing women and children yet the majority of people are willing to accept this as normal behavior.There is no doubt though that in the old testament there was alot of baby killing as we look at the moses and pharoah incident however I can find no evidence in the apocolyptic writings of baby slaughter .Armageddon seemed to be against the kings and military commanders of the earth ,although the false prophet is destroyed as well. JUST LOOKING FOR SOME INPUT HERE [:?]

That's based on JW teaching. That is one of the tactics they tried on me...."if you don't want to be in the truth for yourself at least be in it so that Jehovah doesn't kill your kids".

That is the same thing I went through about two weeks ago. My friend asked me if I was going to study again and I said no way in hell. He said, "Really? I thought you would start especially now that you have a kid." I told him that was exactly why I wasn't going to study again. The rest of the conversation was me telling him the WTS are full of shit and he just had that nervous laugh like "I need to go you're scaring me"

Gravedancer -that's is the first time I have heard anything like that and I have known plenty of jw in my life.This is completely moronic kind of logic ,I mean not that I haven't heard simular idiotic utterances from these people .I can agree that parents are responsible for raising their kids with spirituality if they so choose but to sit there and say you are blame if they die at armageddon is beyond my scope of reason.IMO the responibility of being a christian and being held accountable is an adult thing that children would be innocent due to the fact that the qulifications require adult converts.I did read the bible so I am using what I remember [of course it's been awhile] I sure can't remember anything about a baby massacre at the time of the end of the world.

Don't you mean vigorously working on denying any shortcomings and covering up the rest? Is that why victims of pedophiles are DF'd while the perpetrator is embraced?

The Watchtower reminds me of one scripture:

RSV Revelation 18:4-5
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues;
5 for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

The sins of the Watchtower are more open than they have ever been. More and more, people are taking notice and leaving her. The hand writing is on the wall, Comforter. Why not read it?

Hey Heathen,I was raised from a baby in the dubs.What I learned was taught to me since I was a baby.Gravedancer is right.WBTS teaches:if the parents don`t join the dubs,god will kill them and their children.Not only was I taught that,when I walked away from the dubs,I was threatened with that very line of bullshit..It didn`t work..LOL...OUTLAW

Without proof, these words of "comfort" from the self-proclaimed Comforter (I always thought that was the role of the Holy Spirit?) makes some fanciful statements. I'm sure Comforter is comforted by them, but without substance, they are entirely baseless or, as the politicians would have it, great "spin".

Perhaps the most bizarre statement is this:

"Vigorously"??? How? Where? When? "working on their shortcomings"???? How? Where? When?

This must be "the silly season"! On another thread I expressed that Comforter is behaving the fool. This thread seems to confirm it.

Comforter Since the "rely on Jehovah" method did not work in regards to my mother's abuse, I decided that I would no longer have patience for an impotent god...he went out in the following week's trash.
