Sunday:
Walk to bus (10 blocks or so). Ride on bus. Sleep. Wake up. Stiff neck. Find lousy seats in stadium (section 302, Gate 11).
Stay awake for everything but the talk after the Drama. Note: The drama was boring except for when the guy SOCKED (PUNCHED) Isaiah!!! It looked real from my angle!
The post-drama talk had this tired dribble in it: If a man gives a woman a diamond ring, she'll love it and thinks it's beautiful. But, if you look at the diamond closely (through a microscope), you will see many flaws and blemishes. Will the woman then want to throw away the diamond? Of course not! It's still very valuable to her. "God's Organization" is like that diamond ring.
My thought: So, in other words, we shouldn't examine the Organization closely? Just accept it for what it is? No matter how great the flaw???
Sydklik's (spelling?) Closing Prayer:
It had to be about 10 minutes long! To make matters worse, I swear to you that it was written out! He went to the podium with a sheet of paper. I watched him the entire prayer. He would move his hand down the sheet of paper (prayer outline), he would move his eyes toward the paper, then look up at the audience. He would pause when he lost his place. It was so insincere. A prayer should come from the heart, be spontaneous. His was an outline that probably had to be approved by the fellow GBers.
