I'm so sorry that your friend passed away . And as someone else said, don't apologize for expressing your grief; your pal deserved the recognition and it's healthy to express our feelings. Like most here, I have favorite pet stories and all I can say is that you never forget them. They will always have their corner of your heart to live on in, no matter how many years pass.

I shouldn't be but I'm really surprised at the amount of support I've received over this from you kind people Thank you all very much.
I was up all night long watching info commercials. The house seems empty this morning. No Blue laying at the foot of our bed wating for us to let her out. I know it is expected to find another dog but I really won't. I know I get too attached.
I'd scan a pic of her but I really can't do much right now. Maybe another time.

AAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW darn it, that's terrible to hear LB. I have a little sheltie that is our baby. She just got sick the other day and I thought we were gonna lose her. They are our buddies and they love us without even thinking about it.

6. Dogs do not play games with you, except fetch (and they never laugh at how you throw).

8. Dogs are easy to buy for.
9. The worst social disease you can get from dogs is fleas (OK, really, the worst disease you can get from them is rabies, but there's a vaccine for it and you can kill the one that gives it to you).
10. Dogs understand what "no" means.
11. Dogs mean it when they kiss you.
