I just finished watching the Panorama report on JW pedophiles, and like many of you, I am thoroughly disgusted at the Watchtower's lying, maneuvering and hypocrisy on this issue. They are truly a wicked organization, deserving of the worst judgment of both God and man.
One statement they made that just leapt out at me was when the BBC reporter asked the person on the phone at Brooklyn Bethel how many names were in the Society's database of pedophiles within the organization. The response from the Watchtower spokesman was that "focusing on numbers isn't meaningful."
This from an organization that requires every member to report every iota of activity they perform in field service. JW's report field service hours, placements, return visits, Bible (ha!) studies conducted. And all these numbers are compiled into mammoth worldwide reports which are published both in the Watchtower magazine and the Yearbooks, and distributed worldwide, so that the organization can impress people with the scope of the work being done.
This from an organization where, despite official denials, those same individual reports are used to evaluate a member's "spirituality" and, as a result, their status in the congregation.
This from an organization that falsifies the number of countries in which they are active by redefining them as "lands," so that the work will appear larger than it is (the United States, for example, is six "lands" in their official tallies).
What hypocrites! These people are more numbers-conscious than most accounting firms, when it is to their benefit to be that way. But when you question them about how many criminal acts they are hiding from the authorities, suddenly "focusing on numbers isn't meaningful."
Mark my words: I see the day coming when Governing Body members will face indictments for obstruction of justice! May God speed that day.
