  How many victims are there of the 23,720 Pedophiles in the societies record file?

  How about 23,720 X 12= 284640 .

  284640 individual victims (not repeat acts of abuse)

  This is my fuzzy math but how many would you guess?

  A study conducted at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati (Amy Arszman Daso and Robert Shapiro, M.D) indicates that child sexual abuse allegations should be taken seriously and found children's testimony more reliable than physical exams in cases of sexual abuse. The researchers reviewed the records of 31 pedophiles who confessed between 1994 and 1999. The 31 perpetrators confessed to a total of 101 acts of sexual abuse, some of which they committed multiple times. The perpetrators abused 47 children. The 45 old enough to provide a history described 111 acts of sexual abuse. "Physical exams are an unreliable indicator of sexual abuse," says Dr. Shapiro. "We're not saying that children never make things up, but the responsible reaction is to listen carefully to allegations of abuse so that abused children will be identified and false allegations recognized."   In 1995, a child molestation case in Texas caused a national uproar when the suspect was due to be released from prison after serving a six-year sentence for the rape of a 6year-old boy. He told the police that he got away with abusing over 240 children before getting caught for molesting a single child and if released, would do it again (4) . One long-term study of hundreds of sex offenders found that the pedophile child molester committed an average of 281 acts with 150 partners. These types of offenders wreak havoc upon society far out of proportion to their numbers.

  Hmm interesting. My abuser while in the JWs had 3 victims while he was associated with the JWs. He had 3 more victims before he was associated and after he left he married a woman with 2 daughters (I will assume he abused them) and he and his new wife took in foster children - all girls

  We know he abused 6 children between the ages of 5 and 12 and I assume he abused another 2 or more children. I suspect he could easily have had 12 victims because the above is just what I know about him which is actually pretty limited

  Thanks for the comment, LadyLee. Good ol' Watchtower always protects the dirty guys.

  I was just thinking about how many young people leave the organization or are disfellowshipped. How many of those were victims of abuse? What kind of impact does the WTS protecting pedophiles have on society in general? How many ruined lives, how many strippers or prostitutes, drug addicts, how many more abusers?

  In my family every one of us 5 kids were abused while we were "in" the org. My siblings all left in their teens. I was the only one who stuck it out and I left in my 30's.

  My oldest brother was into big time crime. The second brother was into drugs. The thrid is metally ill and my sister is a drug addict. (My mother says I am the one who needs help)

  A study here in Canada showed about 95% of addicts and sex trade workers were sexually abused as children. I suspect the incidence is similar in the US

  Gotta be kiddin, Child abuse is rife, I know 2 dozen people who've had experiences. Either as perp or as victim. And thats just the ones whove told me things, what about the people I know who havent told me? Id be very surprised if, in the real world, at least 1 man out of 20 hasnt done something he shouldnt. Somewhere. Sometime. That bein the case, and the org being sicker than your average society Theres WAY more than 250,000 males done naughty things with someone underage in the org. Bet ya.

  I think it's sick that Bill Bowen lied about the amount of "so called" abusers.

  Mr. Bowen has not lied about the numbers.

  Mr. Bowen has provided a number and a database from people with access inside the Watchtower.

  The Watchtower has, for the first time admitted that there is a special database.

  They have admited the number does not represent the numbers on file in the United States. However, they refuse to give the actual number and also refuse to give the total number for Europe and N. America which Bill Bowen was talking about.

  The files have now been confirmed. The world-wide number and other numbers per country have yet to be established. But Bill is far from a liar.
