Well it appears the Watchtower is back at their executions. The appeal committee has demanded to meet with Barb Anderson at a Motel. After JR Brown besmirched her moral character by saying she was being disfellowshipped for other sins unrelated to the Dateline program, now three men want to meet her at a motel? Why not the Kingdom Hall? Is Barb not worthy to walk into the building? Is this funny or what. Barbara is going to request the committee meet at her home instead. Now the question is, will the committee give in to fear of "woman" and refuse to meet? Or are they too consumed with this opportunity to "beat their sister" that they will meet at all costs.

Would anyone like to appear as a character witness for what Barbara Anderson has done? If so please email me and I will be glad to let you know how to get there. I plan to be there on Barbara's behalf and I welcome anyone who would like to stand with her husband and I as witnesses that protecting children is not a disfellowshipping offense.

    Dear Sister Anderson;

On June 5, 2002 , we corresponded with you in response to your letter of in which you appeal the decision made by a judicial committee from the Manchester congregation.

A meeting was arranged to hear the appeal. However, we were informed that you could not be at the scheduled meeting due to the short notification period. We are pleased to arrange another meeting in accordance with your request.

Meeting has been set for 3:00 pm Sunday, July 21, 2002 at the following address; Ramada Inn , 2314 Hillsboro Blvd, Manchester, TN.

    Your Brother,

    R. E. Matthews

    Chairman appeal committee

    cc; Jerre Michael Hood, esq.

I have never, ever heard of a Judicial Committee meeting in a hotel. I wonder what's behind it?

How about Brooklyn, September 27, 2002 since so many of us will be there in the neighborhood anyway?

She can say she does not want to meet with anyone from her area, and we will all be there in New York and that's her final offer.

Anybody like? It's a perfectly legitimate request as far as I can see. let Watchtower appoint 3 (or more) men from New York to meet in a hotel room THERE!!!

    Amazing

They need the media there too ... NBC, BBC, CBC, CBS, etc. all converging on the Ramada Inn ... and the idiot Elders cannot keep the media out since they are not at the Kingdom Hall.

    Hi Bill,

They addressed her as "sister" Anderson, does this mean they might
    rule in her favor? Hmmm...

I believe that Barbara's integrity to Jehovah is being tested through this
unscriptural process they are subjecting her to. I also think that renting
a room in a hotel to conduct the meeting is a lapse in good judgment
(although the whole process seems to lack better judgment). Perhaps
they rented a small conference room?

If it's a hotel room, then they can deny others access to the room
legally (since it is "private property" during the rental period). Whereas
if they meet at Barbara's home, she can invite you and others inside.
However, in the hotel room, she must play by their rules or not enter
(and if she doesn't enter then she loses the appeal by default, I will
guess). They're getting shrewd, some attorney must be coaching the
    Watchtower on their every move.

Barbara could carry a tiny sensitive digital voice recorder so the
proceedings are covered. My heart and prayers go out for her to
endure and triumph over the evil being done to her by those whom,
by connecting this "judicial" process to Jehovah, are blaspheming
    Jehovah's name.

She is blessed to have a caring brother like you to look after her by
going to the hotel, even if you stand outside in the corridor.

    Dear Barbara:

Please approach this matter with caution. The elders and their "legal department" surely have

an agenda by the way they are trying to meet up with you in a Motel. They are no doubt

concerned that there could be a hidden camera or recording device at the "meeting." Of

course, if they can record the meeting themselves, they are free to edit it for their own purposes.

But could you please consider the time involved in this meeting as well at the emotional

    cost.

After all, do you really want to be part of the WTS after all that we know???

WHAT? This has gone too far, and is now starting to become rather ridiculous. What a situation.

Indeed, we are living in "interesting times".

Good point Amazing, they can even put up hidden cameras there, since it is not in the kingdom hall.

I mean if they shut the doors and only a few are allowed in, set up micros and cameras.

I am curious, they say these are charges of other things , sins, not related to the dateline thing.

What are they accusing her of? What are these "unrelated " things they keep saying?

YC, I think the point is that she really did not do anything to be disfellowshipped for. Therefore, whether she leaves the organization or not should be up to her. It should be solely on her terms and not on theirs.
