Americans On my Doorstep.

This is absolutely incredible! Number 3 son came running into the garden to tell me that there were 2 Americans on the doorstep. I went to the front door, where I met a very pleasant fellow sporting a grey beard who looked just like the Sherrif of Nottingham from Robin Hood.
He had a huge grin on his face - possibly he had been watching his missus trying to park her rented car after driving on the left all day - and confirmed that I was, indeed, the Englishman, whereupon we ushered his good lady inside where we plied them with wine and roast duckling.
After booking them into the B & B next door, we met up again and set off to the pub, where HE tried all the different ales before deciding that Bishops Tipple was his favourite, he was of course, encouraged to imbibe fully by Trucker GB.
Howver, before this occured, they presented me with a birthday card that had been personally signed by so many wonderful people that I did indeed feel a tear a-comin' to me eye! So thank you for your good wishes:

Dinner was wonderful. Had a lovely time in the "garden". The pub was wonderful. We'll have to let yo'all know how much fun it is when we get home.
