Out of all the places I can think of that I would go to visit it would be your group of peeps.
I think Beck and I would hit it off good, seems we have some things in common and we have had a couple of emails. You guys over there seem very level headed and accepting . Free spirits. The world needs more people like you guys. I want to say Ya'll but that is such a southern country term I am not sure if you would know what it means. All in all, I love ya all, want to meet ya face to face, but for now until that day you have my heart. You guys over there are just cool. If anyone ever wants to come to the states, you can stay at my home , we will feed ya, give you our room , and liquor you up. I think you and WT would fit in very well with us Aussies - we're quite friendly, and are known to take a tipple of two of the odd beverage of the alcoholic type.
BTW, we say "youse" when referring to more than one of you. We understand "y'all" from watching plenty of American tv shows and movies over here, but the Australian slang is "youse". Cos it makes some sense - one you = you, two you = youse. Does to us anyway
And the invitation to stay is two-way, btw. If you and WT ever come to our shores, we'll put you up and show you how Aussies like to have fun!
I've got to add that one of the most enjoyable weeks of my life was the week I spent in Sydney on R&R. I had always wanted to visit Australia and took the opportunity while I had it. When the Aussies found out that we were GIs there from Vietnam, they couldn't have been greater. They actually seemed to appreciate what we were trying to do, something our own fellow countrymen didn't grasp.
In all my travels, it was the Aussies that were the most hospitable. When my week was up, I hated going back. Me and the entire rest of the plane. You all will never know just how welcome and how good you all made us feel when we came there.
