  This is how Jehovahs witness keep the congregations clean.

  When anyone does something wrong, adultery, childabuse etc only the elders dealing with the case are supposed to know about it , appart from those directlty involved.

  This means that appart from rumors and gosip, which Jehovahs witnesses are instructed to ignore (I suspect this is the reason why)no one knows about it.This creates the impression among the general publishers that these things rarely happen.

  Even the rest of the elders often don't know.

  If it was announced every time someone did something disaproved b jehovahs witnesses , they would soon realise these things happen all the time.

  So witnesses are a clean people because they are never told what is really happening.

  My JW Mother in law said that the reason the child abuse scandel was on TV was because Jehovah is cleaning his Organization out!

  They have an answer for everything!

  I guess he needed TV coverage to do this?

  Yeah, it's like the Stalin years in Russia. If you read the Soviet papers you would read how bad it was in Capitalist countries compared to Russia, which of course had only very minor problems!

  The only time I can remember our congregation being clean was one Spring when all the sisters got together with mops, brooms, and vaccum cleaners, etc. and went at it!

  We had to make 'shepherding calls' (ha) so couldn't help! The coffee and rolls were wonderful!

  When reading this statement (grammatically) it sounds like the JWs ARE a clean people which we know they aren't.

  I would hate to see your statement plastered all over the net and taken out of context that apostates agree

  I remember the words 'the brothers are handling it'...or 'wait on Jehovah'...how I soon got sick of hearing those words.

  There was once a big clean out in one congregation I moved into, apparently it was called a 'petticote congregation' where there were claims that a group of sisters were running the congregation - elder's wives. And so the big wigs from bethel sent in some troopers to sort them out!

  And JWs also have a unified org. because any one who dares to voice disagreement is promptly kicked out; e.g., Bill Bowen, Barb Anderson, the Pandelos, and a lot of JW.com posters.

  And Jehovah will take care of all the abused and starving children, etc., by killing them at Armageddon. "We don't have any starving people in our kingdom, because they were all killed." Simple....

  Patio took the words right out of my mouth!! My hub tries to throw that "unified" and "clean" organization crap at me all the time. My take is that if every religious organization threatened it's members that they would be kicked out, ignored, and treated like they were invisible, even by their parents, grandparents, children and by their only "friends" in the world, then the rest of the "Holy" world could be making the same ridiculous boasts. Of course, they're friggin unified and clean....they give the boot to ANYONE who disagrees with ANYTHING they teach. The math is not hard to do. You'd think more of them would've figured this one out by now.
