Talking of assemblies I went to Bowes Road - another converted cinema! I think St Ives was in the London circuit for assemblies (conventions were at Norwich), but not sure if Peterborough was.

Hi Ken,
Yes my last assembly I went to was at Bowes Road, my niece was getting baptised there. I did go to the assemblies at the Pontins Camp back in the 80s also, but only because we were checking out the talent from the Norwich circuit! Peterborough was actually part of the Northants circuit which was held in Dudley.

I am in northwest England. Not so close to you, but I thought I'd say Hi! I was born in Notts, we went to the Dudley assembly hall when I was a kid. Did you ever go to the zoo in your lunch break??

Hi Tish,
I'm from Rushden, Northants, so not far from you. I've lived here about 4 years and went to Dudley assembly hall. I always used to go to Bowes Road before that.
I DAed in October along with my husband. Life is great for us and our 3 kids now!
