Plum,
Are you sure you weren't visiting my in laws?
I can't say that i have ever had an "experience" myself, however i have had several relatives that swear up and down they have.
One thing i can say, i have a stronger than usual curiosity about the occult. However, my indoctrination was so severe, i still get really scared if i think i'm getting tooo close to the boundaries, you know? it took years before i would allow myself to watch movies with a demonic theme. once i conquered that demon (lol), then i moved on to watch the king of them all....The Exorcist. I've been to a numerologist a few times....she pinpointed several things about me but i'm not convinced yet. And i'm dying to go to a seance or play w/a Ouija board. those are my next hurdles.

While most people aren't affected by oija boards, some people have bad experiences.
Just letin' ya know.

I've heard of some wild STORIES from ones on bible studies who's houses were supposedly demonized.
One story told of the couch floating in the air that the study was sitting on and a voice coming from her to the dub......."get out of here"
My grandmother when she was alive said her dead son(my uncle) used to come and sit on the edge of the bed occationally, and talk to her to tell her everything was all right.
I personally don't feel this is so.
I have heard tons of stories(mostly from college friends who live in freaky old converted mansions, and a few who work in this resturant that everyone claims is haunted)...but only had a couple of incidents actually happen to me. In high school we always told or got told stories about how the theater was haunted. I mostly thought it was seniors screwing with the freshmen(and I am pretty sure a lot of it was fabricated). But after putting in many hours on the stage in rehersals and performances there were some freaky instances that I was a witness to.
One night we were practicing late and in the middle of our scenes the sound system turned on and started playing classical music. It would turn off, and then fade back on again. We thought someone was at the sound board screwing around and our director got really pissed, however the sound booth was locked, the power was off, and not only that, no tapes or cd's were in the decks. There were of course doors slamming, things being moved, and doors locking on us, (however most of those could be explained as stupid teenager pranks so I don't put a lot of stock in them-but I never could explain the sound system)
Actually I wish I had experienced more. I was dying to get on that show MTV Fear for a while. That kind of stuff facinates me, and of course I always wanted to muck around with a ouja board, but I could never get my witness friends to cave, and now I think I am too old to have a slumber party and whip one out...although if there are an apostates with inquiring minds gimme a call, let's have a slumber party.
You're GUMBY, DAMN IT!:
It wasn't personal and it was probablly so!!!!!!
When I was 4, my dad belong to a Masonic lodge and they used to be involved in some pretty weird stuff. To this day I don't know if what I experienced was real or imagined. What I remember most was the feeling in the house. It was cold and clammy, even in the summer. Sometimes I would hear a man laughing when there was no one around. Other times I would hear someone call out my name, again when no one was there. I also some apparations, but again I'm not sure if that's real or not. After we moved from that house, I never had any other experiences.
I saw a special on A&E once on the history of the Masons and it showed some of their initiation rituals and it really creeped me out. It was dead on the way I remembered it. I still get goosebumps when I think of the one that wore a black top hat with white gloves.

joannadandy: I had a slumber party last year for my 35th birthday!! we did all the stuff i hadn't gotten to do since i never had a b-day party....went to a ladies only club, rode around in a limo and drank, and had a pj party w/my girlfriends.
wish i'd thought of the ouija board for that party. BUT IF YOU'RE NEAR FORT WORTH, TX, my birthday's next month during the apostofest. We could have a slumber party and do it for my 36th!
