Critics say media attention to recent abductions has created the false impression that America's 60 million children are facing an epidemic of kidnappings.
Who are these critics? Why shouldn't parents have a heightened awareness of the safety of children in their care? One abduction is one too many, and there have been several this summer.It interested me that this 7-year-old girl was outside playing alone with a 5-year-old at 9:22 pm when the abduction occurred. Now that this girl is safe, I dare to presume her parents will get her in at an earlier hour, like before the sun sets!!
