well having never eaten an Anchovie I cant possibly comment on the saltiness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
shame though, my perverse thinking wouldve made the thread a little more interesting!

In the summer I used to go down on a CAN of anchovies accompanied by a cooooooooooold Heineken's beer every day after work. Had to be rolled anchovies though, with the capers in the middle. Didn't like the flat ones.
You know folks, a Caesar Salad wouldn't be much without anchovies.
