    It's absolutely true.

Folks, I'm reeling with shock at this announcement. Ron & Jenny who own the place have decided to take a weeks break at the end of August.

A few months ago, Ron & Jen went to Texas to stay with some Americans that they had met while visiting their daughter in Japan, a couple by the name of Molly and Harvey. He expressed a desire to run a pub in England, so Ron has taken him up on his offer. For just one week, Harvey and Molly, who have never ever visited the UK before, will be running my local pub. WoW!

So, all you guys from across the pond, what are we Brits to expect?

Will Harvey serve beer until we drop, or will he impose a 3 drinks limit rule?

Will he know how to operate a beer engine?

Will we have to salute Old Glory every day?

Will he know how to play spoof?

Are there any other surprises in store for us?

    Englishman.

    English man,

I made fun of you in the chat room once because you Brits talk funny, well, so do us Texans. I suspect that communications is going to be a big problem. Texans don't know any more about proper english than a hog knows about a side saddle.

Probably some different music, a new drinking chum, new stories, same old stories, a new accent to make fun of, new drinks to try, maybe new beer to try, a new swagger to aspire to, new crude jokes, old crude jokes, more competition, new cuss words, old cuss words, hmmm....and more that cannot be revealed at this time....

Will Harvey serve beer until we drop, or will he impose a 3 drinks limit rule?

If there is no curfew, no real Texan would stop serving beer...he or she might pass out, but NEVER stop serving unless you commence to hurl and can't clean it up yourself...

Will he know how to operate a beer engine?

    Ummm...we commute in beer engines...

Will we have to salute Old Glory every day?

No...probably on the 4th of July and on Texas Independence Day March 2nd. On those days you must rejoice and obey the commandment Jehovah set forth in Jeremiah 25:27....

Will he know how to play spoof?

Boy what did you call me?!!...*L*

Are there any other surprises in store for us?

I will leave that for jehovah to take care of...eheheh per instructions of the UADNATX....

    Sincerely,

    District Overbeer

'S OK, I can speak Texan, I used to watch "Dallas".

I recall that Sue-Ellen was "Swellun".

There was also a Mizelly who was hitched to Mahdaddy. Also some chap called Jayhar who a row of crushed budgerigars around his hat-band.

Tesco's also sell Ken Kerchevals barbecue sauce, so I am qualified indeed!

    No

Will we have to salute Old Glory every day?
    Nope. It's the Lone Star.

Will he know how to play spoof?
    No, but they'll learn quickly.

Are there any other surprises in store for us?
In the spirit of making them feel at home, learn to say "Yeeeee-haaaaaaah" correctly. (Note: it's "Hah", not "Haw")

Wow , Englishman,I am impressed.... an old Dallas fan??? Did you watch this soap while you were a witness? You know that was a sin right? Oh i watched it and loved every minute of it hehheeh.

Texans are really great people,, but be prepared for constant bullcrap , you will never know if they are telling the truth or making up a story. Tall tales , and they will do anything and everything to shock you . I am speaking from experience here, I am married to a born Texan and I was born in Texas also. That is why we are so full of it!!!!!!!!!!!! But you will never be bored , it should be very entertaining to say the least.
