Another Jehovah's Witness woman has died while giving birth due to massive blood loss and refusing a blood transfusion. She leaves nine children behind. She finally consented to the transfusion but it was too late to save her. http://allafrica.com/stories/201506231495.html -

Thank you for continuing to put a human face on this worthless perversion of religious doctrine -

Ths story is even worse than it appears at first glance.
She was DFd a few years ago for taking a blood transfusion after childbirth. It took her town officials intervening for the JWs to reinstate her.
This time she was determined, along with her mother, NOT to take blood. As she neared death she relented and agreed but it was too late for the blood to work.
So she has been put through the trauma of being DFd for this very thing and was facing it all over again and tried hard to avoid DFing but got scared and relented and now died with that strike against her (being unfaithful).
She lost on every level.
Her children - all nine of them - lost on every level.

This is very, very sad . The quote from the article, " Information available to the Chronicle indicates that a few years ago, Rebecca allowed medical doctors to conduct a blood transfusion on her at the same hospital during childbirth , and was ex-communicated from her Church ( JW's ) for going contrary to it's beliefs. "
It continues, " It took the leaders of the community and chiefs from her hometown, to intervene for her to be reinstated into the Church. It is, perhaps, for this reason that she might have rejected advice from the medical doctors to allow the process to be conducted on her once again to save her life" , Mr. Anna explained.
And therein lies the problem. This poor JW woman was SO MUCH in fear of being ostracized from her own people and DFed from the JW's that it caused her to allow herself to die just in order to " please " the WT Society and appointed elders in her JW church. The WT Society IS a criminal organization and it's officials SHOULD be brought up on charges of murder for not only THIS woman but thousands of other JW's who have lost their lives due to following insane advice about not taking blood transfusions to save their lives ! Now 9 children of this lady have lost their mother forever due to the irresponsibility of following WT Society rules and regulations. But the main blame goes to the WT Society for blackmailing it's JW followers with fear of being shunned to force it's members to make life endangering decisions .The GB are MURDERERS as are the other upper echelon leaders of the WT organization. It's time for the public to make an outcry over it because the WT Society will probably skate away free from any responsibility of these deaths whatsoever ; and then more victims will follow in years ahead. It is absolutely infuriating and disgusting

I would be willing to bet that NONE of the GB would let this happen to their family member.
As the religion begins to grow in third world countries, their scandals and poorly administered doctrines are going to really become news.
They dont have all the access to bloodless products that are available in first world countries.
Wonder if they've thought that one over?

Ten bucks says there's some dumb-ass on the local BOE that wants to DA/DF her posthumously.

Religion as its known is just a game of power for select men to indulge themselves in, as a result many times causing egregious harm to humanity.

Just want to add, the "they" I mentioned above means the Governing Body. Sorry for the lack of clarity in my post. -

$1000 says the BOE will not allow her funeral talk to be given at the Kingdom Hall, and anyone who attends any sort of memorial service for her (wherever held) will at least "lose privileges" if not face judicial action.

This story makes me seethe with anger. The restriction of access to education and the blind obedience required by this cult is a death dealing cocktail. On one hand the WT decries superstition then asks for human sacrifice from it's adherents.
How can they look themselves in the mirror?
