Hi jesika..on policy backed by the bible, dont forget until just the last century, slavery and white supremacy was preached in churches in the south, also said it was back by the bible, people will manipulate and bamboozle the less informed masses if they can get away with it , fine. But look what happened to slavery....Today there's a different kind if slavery, loss of free will...but again it's a choice. When WT's spell finally break and it's slowly starting [of course we in the know got to keep the pressure on] it's going to be a monster!!!!!...rocky
I wonder about the people in these congregations

Towards the end of Jesus' answer to John, he mentions how he is proclaiming the "good news" to the poor (compare Isaiah 61:1 & 2). People were poor both spiritually and materially. Jesus was well aware of the human needs of spiritual and physical sustenance, so he did what he could to help the people (Mark 6:34 to 44).Jesus had harsh words for the religious leaders, who unreasonably insisted that the people should conform to all sorts of burdensome and unnecessary laws (Matthew chapter 23).

Can anyone accurately report on what different ones in the congregation are doing or saying?

I was over at my parents house a couple weeks ago and Dateline came on and my Dad started telling me that Dateline had this horrible report about the Witnesses. I acted like I hadn't heard about it. He said that it was slander to the witnesses and that they were blowing it out of perportion (sp)? My mother chimmed in the Witness know handle these things very well and that there is no reason for this news report.
My cousin was molested by a 18 year old witness boy when she was 13. Of course his father was an elder and mother was a regular pioneer. No one believed her that she had been molested they said she was lying and she better not speak out or they would disfellowship her for slander.
But even though my parents know about that they still are under the mind control of the witnesses and will never beileve they are wrong. They are not allowed to have freeminds. My father told me after the last CO visit they had what my problem was he said you think for yourself. I laughed what do you mean I think for myself. He said the curcuit overseer made a great point at the elder meeting as witnesses you are not suppose to think for yourself you are to go by the bible and the watchtower. I told him I am glad I think for myself do what you want. But see these people have no desire to think for themselves they want the watchtower to do it for them.

In my congregation they are tickled to death. I will probably get a standing ovation when the announcement is read. Why? Because in most talks for the last 1+ years the have called me the spawn of Satan. Not one inch has been given even to the point of lying for the molester. A person outside of the congregation mentioned the new PO had stated that a big deal had been made about nothing, referring to the local molester. Funny tis was the same guy who told the victim, "I don't know why you are upset, he didn't actually have sex with you." You see he thought it was not child molestation unless sex was involved. Welcome to Kentucky.
Much like the entire problem in the organization. The molested children are no big deal, just keep them quiet till the new system.
So my congregation is angry that this got started to begin with, they were forbidden to talk with me about it by threats from the platform. I was forbidden to talk with them or be df. I have waited for someone to approach me, but they have been good little jw's and stayed away. So other than harrassment, theft, and threats, they really do not want to know the truth, it is easier to just stay ignorant and mad believing whatever WT reps say and staying out of trouble with managment.
It is the easy way out for weak people.
Much the same way child molesters are protected within the congregation as the local molester is protected.

Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent forth to her, how often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks together under her wings! But you people did not want it. -- Matt. 23:37, 38.
