Proof That Monsters Exist In Real Life

The title is not misleading. I can prove that monsters really exist, although genetic tests of the species of these monsters might frighten and alarm you.

Tests will reveal human DNA. This should not surprise many who have kept current in the news.

At bedtime parents often assure a young child who is afraid a monster is lurking under the bed or in the closet, that monsters don't exist in "real life." They assure the frightened young child that monsters are "figments of our overactive imaginations."

However, parents who have kept abreast of the news lately, and especially parents who are baptized Jehovah's Witnesses, must struggle with their consciences when telling children that monsters don't really exist. Many others simply believe they are telling the child the truth, that monsters don't exist. That is to say, they who believe their congregation and place of worship is a safe haven from the abberations in nature that prey upon young children filling the news of late.

Often we tell our children lies to protect them. We rationalize that telling them monsters don't exist is just a "little white lie" justified to protect the innocence of the child. Some of us even believe there are no real monsters, and that our children are safe amongst our spiritual brothers and sisters and literal family.

One little girl who represents many other children found out that monsters really do exist. She learned through firsthand experience the world today hardly resembles the world that existed as recently as a decade ago. The world today, she discovered, is a strange, hate-filled and dangerous place that is alien to concepts of human decency and dignity. The world today resembles something out of a terrible nightmare or science fiction horror movie. The problem is that she is not having a nightmare from which she can awaken.

    She is wide awake.

She cannot wake up from a terror that will haunt her well into her adult life.

"CONCORD, N.H. (AP) The state Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the conviction of a Bible-quoting man who sexually abused a young girl, starting when she was 4 years old and ending when she was 10.

Paul Berry, 46, was convicted of 17 counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault two years ago. He was sentenced to 56 to 112 years in prison, possibly the longest sentence ever given for sexual assault in the state.

      {. . .}

The assaults included Berry hanging the girl by her wrists from hooks on a barn wall and, on another occasion, tying her to a tree, according to court records. The girl testified that Berry, a Jehovahs Witness, quoted Scriptures while forcing her to perform sex acts.

{. . .}" (N.H. Supreme Court upholds conviction of man who sexually abused girl - Associated Press.)

Ordinarily, we would report to both the elders and authorities someone or rather some thing who terrorizes a child in our congregation. Naturally, in the process we might say something critical of the crime. It is only natural to express outrage at any crime especially those against innocent children.

Unfortunately, it is as if we are suddenly behind the looking glass in Alice's wonderland. As we seem to travel deeper into the rabit's hole, we feel an increasing sense of disbelief in recent disfellowshippings of those who have expressed outrage against the very type of crime reported in the Associated Press above, and who also reported these crimes to the elders and/or police.

This can't be possible, can it? Could the Watchtower Society sudden turn on a dime and persecute those who protect children from rape and sexual torture? WHY? The fact it doesn't make sense has caused many Jehovah's Witnesses worldwide to simply shutdown emotionally, and deny these news reports and hard facts behind the reports.

To do otherwise and face these facts could possibly imply we are either closer to the "end" than we thought, or worse, that the Watchtower Society has been completely rejected by Jehovah God and Jesus Christ!

The facts about the current epidemic of disfellowshippings of those who criticize and/or report sexual crimes against children in the congregation, seems to demonstrate that those wishing to remain in good standing with the Watchtower Society MUST REMAIN SILENT. Why draw this conclusion? Because a rash of disfellowshippings is occurring; those who refused to remain silent, and made these crimes known, have been called before judicial committees and disfellowshipped in recent weeks.

Did I prove that monsters exist in real life? You be the judge.

Very interesting ,considering the jw believes intensely that demons and such are out to get them through any means possible and the fact I have never heard them at anytime discuss the child molestation issue be it in the watchtower or in a group study I was convinced that this kind of stuff never happened to a jw .In fact I have never heard a jw openly confess any kind of sin as it is written in the new testament that this is a requirement and as far as reproving the transgressor, have never witnessed that either .You really had me thinking of Stephen Kings Silver bullet where it turns out that the minister is the warewolf .

When you talk about Monsters that exist in Real Life, YES... there are real life monsters: Serial killers, brutal tyrants, Terrorists, Rapists and last but not least, Child Abusers and Pedophiles.

They all have one thing in common: they are a bunch of sick SOBs.

In the case of JWs, I consider the Pedophiles the real life monsters in the congregations as you know the amount of damage they make to the children's psyche and lives. The Elders, who cover up these cases and threaten the victims to shut up, are not monsters, they are nothing but a buncha cowards.

Derrick, you certainly presented a good case and you did prove your point. Let me ask you a question: Do you agree with me that the WTS and all other cults are real-life monsters per se?

    Regards,

    Excellent metaphor.

I haven't experienced other cults but was baptized at a circuit assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses over 25 years ago. My baptism was in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and was a valid Christian baptism. (As you may know, in 1985 the Holy Spirit was disfellowshipped for apostasy, and baptisms thereafter were in the name of the Father, the Son, and God's Spirit-Directed Organization. I'm speaking facetiously of course.) Before getting baptized in my teens, I did extensive research on their teachings about the origins and pagan history of Christmas and other holidays until I was satisifed there was a legit scriptural basis for these teachings. In researching various teachings, not having time to research them all (since I was in high school and needed to attend to homework and cirricular activities), I was reasonably convinced the Jehovah's Witnesses were preaching the "truth." Bear in mind that back in the 1970's through the 1980's, JWs for the most part didn't have the incredible research tool called the Internet to discover less obvious problems with various teachings such as the JW blood doctrine. Back then, I was into electronics and astronomy, a sort of "nerd" of my time. Now, with the Internet and all, I likely would have stumbled across too many problems to accept the Watchtower's teachings as the ultimate "truth." Also, I would never have shunned the DF'd Holy Spirit, not only because sinning against him is really bad for one's eternal well-being, but because I would have reasoned "how can the Watchtower claim they are inspired by the Holy Spirit if they kicked him out of the baptism talk at assemblies?" (I refer to the Holy Spirit as "him" in the sense that "he" is too holy and divine IMO to simply get relegated as energy that eternally powers the Everready Bunny, but I still acknowledge and recognize that male/female sex designations relating to the Holy Spirit are not necessarily relevant. That's a whole separate discussion, though!)

The bottomline in answering your question is that the Watchtower Society is the corporate arm of a "cult" per se, similar to other small Christian churches being designated as "cults" (and similar to early Christians being designated as such). That "cult" concerned itself with the mandate of preaching the good news of Christ's millennial kingdom as Christ commanded his followers to preach to the whole world, as a witness to all the nations, prior to the end of this "system of things" (or present civilization ruled by humans using human wisdom and knowledge). Regretfully, individual men have deviated from the truth who were given the privilege of serving as governing body members over the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses (which I believe is one member of Christ's extended "body" which spans the globe in various forms, including relief efforts, i.e., world hunger organizations that literally feed the hungry and dying, and spiritual relief efforts such as the Watchtower's and other ministries to feed the spiritual soul with truths from the Bible). That deviation at the highest level of Bethel, or Watchtower world headquarters, has resulted in discredited the worldwide preaching work of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Therefore, asking if the Watchtower Society is a real life "monster" per se is asking the wrong question. The pertinent question is will Jehovah and Christ continue to bless the worldwide preaching work if the Watchtower continues to effectively give sanctuary to real life "monsters" while persecuting (i.e., as in to disfellowship) those who expose the atrocities these "monsters" commit?

I've never doubted monsters exist. I grew up with two for parents.

    Derrick,

The wt doesn't bring "spiritual relief" - but bondage. They've listened to one within who accuses them, the devil, and they have many demons. It's not a ministry of truth, it's about a lie, and with it they accuse the whole world. Telling about the terrible father, they proceed to clean and tidy their houses before he comes home, and when he does come home he brings others, more accusing spirits come and dwell there. Bound up in the judgement and accusations, their father certainly doesn't give them growth, spiritual growth - it's God who gives the growth - not fore-given?

They have spoken as they have heard - about being accused and judged. I've heard what it is they say, again and again. I'm quite sure that reading such a thing as this would make them either more frightenend, more denying to themselves, more judgemental, or even worse, more confident that they are indeed sqeaky clean by their efforts - cleaned their house and ready for some more guests. There certainly are monsters.

Their message isn't good news, 'God's spell', it would rank with the very worst news that I've heard yet, and at the moment I can't think of any comparisons. It's nothing but a deal, and one with a wicked image.

If everyone had to grow up as that little girl did, then this would be hell. Thanks watchtower, faithful and discreet.

I should have listened to my niece when she was 5 years old and she came to visit me and she told me her mom was a monster.

I thought oh kids will be kids.

    NOT!!!!

If I only would have listened to her maybe her hard core JW mom would have stopped her from getting molested by her step dad!

Sucks when your own parents are MONSTERS!!!

    People listen to children!!

Think that what they say might have meaning.

Dammit...I have been kicking myself for years!!
I will ALWAYS believe a kid.

If this is any help to anyone, you might enjoy reading, 'Understanding the Borderline Mother; Helping Her Children transcend the intense, volatile relationship'. Also, 'Children of the Self-Absorbed' and 'Why is it Always about You?; Saving yourself from the Narcissists in Your Life'.

These books don't have all the simple answers. But at least they help you to see your life in a broader context as some of the core problems of these families are shared by others.

It's just that, within the structure of JWs, the problems are fed and stroked. They gain 'divine approval' and they get even worse.

Provided they stick to the message from God's written word, the Holy Bible, then they will simply be messengers of a timeless message that God plans to restore the Garden of Eden on a global scale, and repair the damage to the human genome caused by our original ancestors Adam and Eve.

Excellent point, Dia, their mistakes are ensconsed in their publications thus turning the ramblings of a few uninspired individuals in the Watchtower Society's writing dept. into new age "scripture" that is quoted above the Bible at every judicial committee hearing.
