Farkel and blondie are right on.
I pioneered in the deep south, Georgia in the late sixties. There were seperate KH's for white's and black's.
The funny thing is, most of the publisher's in the white congregation's when assigned field service, would go door to door including black householder's. "Come to our meeting on Sunday, but you will have to drive 75 miles outa town to your own KH.
I was a book study conductor in the home of a long time witness in McRae Ga, on my last nite of conducting the study, before returning to Calif, I asked the brother's and sister's attending; What would you do if the society said to open your home's to the black brother's ........without any exception.......they all said they would 'not do so'.
I realized or had confirmed then and there, we are products of our upbringing, and it takes year's sometimes to change our thinking.
