I am looking for some songs that are in ref to celebrating leaving, seeing the light, realizing what you were told wasnt right, being happy w your life, etc etc. All those emotions about being controlled and repressed, being told what you can feel or think or how to live, blindly following the "brotherhood ". -

Muse, the uprising. Emphasis not mine.
Paranoia is in bloom The PR,
Transmissions will resume They'll try to
Push drugs that keep us all dumbed down And hope,
That we will never see the truth around
Another promise, another scene, another,
Packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed,
And all the green belts wrapped around our minds and endless
Red tape to keep the truth confined
[Chorus]
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious
[Verse 2]
Interchanging mind control Come let the
Revolution take it's toll
If you could flick a switch and open your third eye
You'd see that we should never be afraid to die
Rise up and take the power back It's time the
Fat cats had a heart attack
You know that their time's coming to an end, We have to
Unify and watch our flag ascend
[Chorus]
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious -

Foo fighters--pretender
Keep you in the dark
You know they all pretend
Keep you in the dark
And so it all began
Send in your skeletons
Sing as their bones come marching in... Again
They need you buried deep
The secrets that you keep are at the ready
Are you ready?
I'm finished making sense
Done pleading ignorance
That whole... Defense
Spinning infinity, boy
The wheel is spinning me
It's never-ending, never-ending
Same old story
What if I say I'm not like the others?
What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays
You're the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender?
In time or so I'm told
I'm just another soul for sale... Oh, well
The page is out of print
We are not permanent
We're temporary, temporary
Same old story
What if I say I'm not like the others?
What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays
You're the pretender
What if I say that I'll never surrender
I'm the voice inside your head
You refuse to hear
I'm the face that you have to face
Mirrored in your stare
I'm what's left, I'm what's right
I'm the enemy
I'm the hand that will take you down
Bring you to your knees
So who are you?
Yeah, who are you?
Yeah, who are you?
Yeah, who are you?
Keep you in the dark
You know they all pretend
What if I say I'm not like the others?
What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays
You're the pretender
What if I say that I'll never surrender?
What if I say I'm not like the others?
(Keep you in the dark)
What if I say I'm not just another one of your plays
(You know they all... Pretend)
You're the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender?
So who are you?
Yeah, who are you?
Yeah, who are you? -

And the last of my favorite 3, john Lennon, watching the wheels
People say I'm crazy doing what I'm doing
Well they give me all kinds of warnings to save me from ruin
When I say that I'm O. K. Well they look at me kind of strange
Surely you're not happy now you no longer play the game
People say I'm lazy dreaming my life away
Well they give me all kinds of advice designed to enlighten me
When I tell them that I'm doing fine watching shadows on the wall
Don't you miss the big time boy you're no longer on the ball
I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round
I just had to let it go
Ah, people asking questions lost in confusion
Well I tell them there's no problem, only solutions
Well they shake their heads and they look at me as if I've lost my mind
I tell them there's no hurry
I'm just sitting here doing time
I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round
I really love to watch them roll
No longer riding on the merry-go-round
I just had to let it go
I just had to let it go
I just had to let it go -

Fight Song.
Like a small boat
On the ocean
Sending big waves
Into motion
Like how a single word
Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosionAnd all those things I didn't say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this timeThis is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on

Simple Plan - Perfect (for children who have left the truth)
Hey dad, look at me
Think back and talk to me
Did I grow up according to the plan?
And do you think I'm wasting my time doing things I wanna do?
But it hurts when you disapprove all alongAnd now I try hard to make it
I just wanna make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't pretend that I'm alright
And you can't change me'Cause we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late
And we can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfectI try not to think
About the pain I feel inside
Did you know you used to be my hero?
All the days you spent with me
Now seem so far away
And it feels like you don't care anymoreAnd now I try hard to make it
I just wanna make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't stand another fight
And nothing's alright'Cause we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late
And we can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfectNothing's gonna change the things that you said
Nothing's gonna make this
right again
Please don't turn your back
I can't believe it's hard
Just to talk to you
But you don't understand'Cause we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late
And we can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect'Cause we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late
And we can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect -

For some reason, I think of Jwism whenever I listen to some songs on Pink Floyd's "The Wall."
Sorry... probably not a good choice for celebrating. He was trying to escape his societal norms and requisites - that's what may be taking me there.

"Uprising", definitely; good call (I really wanna try that song at a karaoke party some day).
"Losing My Religion"...
"We are the Champions"...
"All Along the Watchtower" (obvious, really)...
