Donations for Literature? (page 2)

I posted a link to this thread over on the site where I was discussing things with this other brother. He is from Australia and he seems to think the society doesn't make anything on their literature.

I told him to check out this link, but I don't know if he will or not. He thinks that everything that is made just covers the cost of printing the magazines. He says that in his congregation nobody has EVER told them they have to put the money collected in field service back in the box.

Now I know we have at least one poster here from Australia. How does your congregation work this arangement out? Have you had a talk about donating when you pick up the literature, and then putting all donations in field service back in the donation box?

Hi Andyman,

Down here in the Perth area, the friends are told to pay for their literature when they pick it up, and also to put all contributions in the box, the same as it is in the States. Your friend must be mistaken.

Well I tried to tell him what was said over here, provide him a link, don't know if he read it or not, but all he could do is call me an "apostate" who was trying to make the society look bad.
