when I was in the chat mike was being a real jerk and he was swearing big time and Simon was trying to calm him down along with certain others and then it seemed useless as mike was being a still being a you know what. It was like talking to a brick wall.

Hi Simon: I wonder how Mike Pence thinks he has any cause of action to sue? His profile says he is from the USA ... unless his email says otherwise, then he should know and understand that once you publish something openly, it is in the public domain, even copyright material. While copyright owners can charge for copies of their material, aka books, they have a hard case to make when they post it freely in the public domain.
People who are so quick to threaten lawsuits are often covering up something else, using the good offense plan as their subtle defense. I think Mike should have been more than willing to answer simple questions, especially your points about his change of heart on the SilentLambs march.
I hope that you saved a hard copy of his posts for your records, or at least -placed them in a file on your harddrive. This way, if he is really a UK subject, you would have everything you need to show the truth of what happened.

Perhaps "mikepense" has gone off the edge due to frustration; indescribable grief as he watches his family get raped, repeatedly; and being forced to encounter -over and over- his utter powerlessness to help them, or even obtain help FOR them.
If his situation is legitimate (I have not read any of the threads) then he has also been repeatedly left aghast at the appalling apathy and disregard or recourse for victims in the legal system. He has probably experienced the incomprehensible mangling of his requests for justice by "jehovah's representatives on earth" several million times, as WELL as the legal system. He is probably accused of lying, exaggerating, or lacking character on a regular basis, and during all of this Kafkaesque whirlpool, he is watching his family's 'expectation for things hoped for' become a vapor of a memory, and he is probably wondering if there is any hope at all that his children will have anything resembling a "life"
If his situation is NOT legitimate, then, he's just another freak who contributes to the ... whatever

I have been a member of this site for nearly a year. I live in the USA and I have met some people from this forum. I know Mike personally. He is not in the UK, "Amazing"! He's in Arizona.
I am not his public relations guy (LOL) but there are two sides to every story.
Yes, all posts are saved ... all chats are logged ... all emails retained (incidentally, I got a very aggressive email the moment I started asking questions).
There is a danger with things like abuse that no one will ever question anything that any alleged victim says and this can allow people to take advantage. I do not know if this is what has happened here but I am not comfortable with the situation and some of the things that were said which didn't seem to add up.
I just thought I had some responsibility (morally if not legally) to inform people what had happened and let them make their own mind up (although the request to remove the posts does make this difficult as I'm sure he is aware).

Simon if you remove his posts then as you said the evidence is gone. let him try what he will, The court will dismiss his action immediately. Please leave the posts up so the rest of us can examine the evidence ourselves. Also so in future cases on other forums we can point other people here if similar circumstances occur.
As to not posting requests for money, that is entirely reasonable. Frankly no one is paying for my sister and I to go to the march (though a gracious friend is perhaps allowing us and many others to stay at her place for a couple of nights). So why should anyone else be paid for?
I'm still trying to figure out how he agreed to give matching funds to silentlamb when he didn't have money in the first place. After I asked him if donating to silentlamb was good enough for his cause, he said something to the effect 'hurry, if you donate now to my cause I'll give a matching donation to silentlamb.' Again, how could he he donate something he said he didn't have?
IMO he got cold feet and was trying to save face for his about face.
Simon - What can he sue you for - Defamation of character/Libel/Slander? I think he made himself look bad. You didn't act maliciously and you didn't state any faslehood. If anything you and many others were trying to help him, even reaching to give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure, even at this point, if he was to give a satisfactory explanation for his actions the proverbial 'hatchet' could be buried.
Mike if you are listening - We feel for you and your family - really we do, but what transpired is counterproductive to the movement.
