    Hey Freeman,

Fine letter with many solid points.

Mr. Brown would also tell you that as a Witness I myself am free to write this very letter and have it printed in your paper, however what he would no doubt fail to inform you is that by doing so I may also find myself subject to judicial action, the consequence of which would include having some 6 million people under orders to shun me, to treat me as if I were dead.

Yup, only half the situation is every told in public.

Shirley is really paying a price for ever giving this cult the time of day. so she's shunned by her own kids, for what, saying she didn't feel God's presence in the hall? while that pervert that molested children, whatever his name is, is in good standing in prison. perfect WTS logic.

Myinky.com picked up the story today (Aug. 31). Covers Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois. In the Lifestyle section, it is entitled "Jehovah's Witnesses give 'sinner' no quarter."

One thing you have to keep in mind, this DF thing can have a wide range of uses in a closed society, I know from experiance, It is very handy to keep child abuse issues hushed, I beleive that is why this sister was DF'd to hush her up about the child abuse case she was involved in, Sorry for your loss Shirly, I was hushed for a simular reason, I was speaking out in anger over my abuses growing up in Org.

I sent my email to the publisher________--

"Thanks for publishing the article on Witnesses and how they treat those who disagree with their views, especially the impact they have on families. Being a former Elder I used to disfellowship person thinking that this is the manner that families should treat one another.

thank you and your staff for publishing this story out of FL"James

This article is a perfect example of what it's REALLY like being a Jehovah's Witness.

I'm not sure where the comments section goes, but I'm sure they're being swamped!
