You have made extremely valid points in each of your posts here. I agree with them 100%. Still, from an emotional level you have forgotten what it's like to have the mindset of somebody so thoroughly indoctrinated as Curyus.
It's very sad, embarrassing, mind-boggling but, yes, she will sacrifice her marriage, her blood relationships, even the lives of her own children because--to her--Jehovah told her to do it and, like Abraham, her god will make all things right in the end.
I'm wagging my head even as I type this and remember all-too-clearly the absurdity of it...
