Hi Trauma_Hound, glad you're back! Wanted to say thanks for the Connie Chung video you did previously!
As far as "drafting" v. "volunteering," well, volunteering is ideal, but drafting someone might not be soooo bad, especially if they are not yet aware of what's going on. In other words, you could send emails to xJW Seattle-ites to "inform" them of the event, and ask for assistance/support, and hey, you never know, you might find the perfect spokesperson that way.
This morning I went thru the "public" xJW list which I had downloaded in June < http://disc.server.com/Indices/46743.html>; and picked out every name/email addy in Florida. I just zapped B.Bowen asking if he thought it would be an okay idea to zap all these people (71 in all) an email telling them of the press conference, asking for their support, etc. I'm waiting to hear back what he thinks.
It's just an idea as a way to find names/addy's for xJWs in your area (if you hadn't already thought of it).

When I downloaded it and read through it the first time, I used <b>bold</b> whenever I saw any states or cities that interested me. For this current project, I then made an entire duplicate of the original Word doc, and using that copy of the original, all I had to do was go back thru it and look for <b>Florida</b> and then erased all the listings not in Florida. (Hope that makes sense!) But you're right, it was somewhat painstaking and slow...
Since I posted the above, I also read thru all of the headings under the "Reunions" section of this forum, looking for other Florida names. I only saw one Seattle person, though, and you probably already know them from around here? If you don't find anyone, whattaya gonna do? Here's a wild idea: Go pick up a set of green Surgeon's Scrubs and wear those to the Press Conference. You can say you're an intern or something who took a quick break from the ER to run over and do the press conference. That way, nobody will care if you have long hair if you look like a "biker"-Doc. :-)
LOL! I have NO IDEA where that idea came from... it just popped into my head as I was writing this.
BTW, B.Bowen did write and said it was a good idea to send a notice to all the xJW names on the list. I had asked him for the location/address of the Orlando Press Conference, but he didn't include it. He merely wrote: Get in touch with WILLIE. Well, I have no earthly idea who WILLIE is. Do you know who Willie is?? (I know BB is sooooo busy, I hate to ask him again. I'm sure somebody on here knows who Willie is???)
