I disagree that the life to come is on earth (paradise or not). John 14:1-3; Phil. 3:20, 2 Cor. 5:1-5; 1 Peter 1:4; Matt. 5:12; Matt. 6:20; Col. 1:5; Luke 10:20; Hebrews 12:22; Hebrews 11:16; Hebrews 3:1; 1 Cor. 15:42-49; 2 Tim. 4:18; Acts 26:19. Finally, we are assured that flesh and blood (the present body) cannot share in the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 15:50).

Xena: You have hope, one of the "three remaining things" Paul mentions (1 Cor. 13:13) And you have love, the greatest of these three. It is the "faith" part that is perhaps the hardest thing for us to resolve, the being "certain of what we do not see." (Heb 11:1)
Yes I do have hope ona, but it is not a hope based on reality. I no longer believe the Bible is inspired by God so it makes it difficult to base any kind of hope I have on it.
I believe there is something after death because it is what I WANT and I hope that what I want will turn out to be a reality. But at the moment I consider it just a fantasy.....hope without a concrete basis = fantasy
As for the troll business...if we want to communicate with this person and find this particular thread of interest, why should it bother anyone else so very much? I am enjoying this...DO YOU MIND?
