It's funny that from about 1976 to 1981, Ministry became a dirty word and was not mentioned amongst the brothers and sisters without correction! Even the monthly newsheet Kingdom Ministry changed its name to Kingdom Service during that time. Now they allow you to call it whatever you want just as long as you do it!
I just call it "talking" or "posting"
Poor old Matty still ploding the doors............ whenever are you going to tell the family, have they guessed yet.... thinking of you.
I personally thought it was something we did as JayDubbs to get us ready for the persecution, freezing our butts off etc....
Tish
Hi Tish! Well, it was a nice day for the Ministry today. I was lucky enough to work with a bruvva who didn't let me get a word in edgeways. These ones used to annoy me, but I kinda like this kind of passive ministry now, as you can imagine.
My dad was bragging to everyone today that he managed to get a new bible study! Wow, what a lucky guy, studying with my dad! Seriously, though, I'm finding it more and more difficult as the weeks go on. It's now about six months since I had the Crisis of Conscience, and I'm wondering how long I can go on before I snap.
Have my familly sussed? I don't know, they haven't said anything. I've tried to hide my feelings the best I can. I wonder sometimes if I give the game away with my facial expressions. For the last two weeks at the service meeting I've been quietly seething as the Kingdom Ministry article on disfellowshipping has been discussed. Check out Zev's tape recording of the two sessions if you want a typical example of how it was handled:

Anyway, Apostrophe sounds much more fun than the ministry, I'm looking forward to putting some serious hours in!
In my ministry I tend to the Bongregation.
LOL, LB--apostrophe! I like it.
Elsewhere, there was an audible, disapproving, groan from me at your post.
Pat
It's a joke.
Your words are reminiscent of an elder giving "loving" council.
