Yeah, when I was pioneering I discovered that the deeminz would put holes in the soles of my shoes about every 300 miles or so, and my pen would run out of ink!!
How weird is that shit?

Sstarli,
Welcome...I'll have to reread your experience a coupla times before I comment...right now,I'm saying hmmmmmm......
Syn, thanks for posting this. My first instinct was to laugh. Then, I just got overwhelmed with sadness that someone believes a demon lives in a bookmark.

I sorry, and i do not mean to offend anyones belief, but DEMONS???? I deal in spiritism, I work with those troubled by spirits, but I have never ran into a demon. I have ran in to some real troublesome spirits, but never a demon.
On the story at hand, I hope they searched the house for all the Smurf dolls too, they do some mighty strange things too ya know, LMAO.

Poor thing,
She was trying to kill herself to get out of a cult.
Her husband was so embarrased, cause the circuit overseers visit was that week, and he was gonna be a star..er elder...
So after 72 hour lock up...they invented..er remembered the demun thing.
And they lived happily ever after.
Next weeks story,
How to get out of your marriage, when you have the hots for your regular pioneer babysitter.
LOL, I knew I was opening myself up for "hmmmmm"'s among other such comments. I said "hmmm" myself..........but I swear it happened. Demons or Devine intervention...........I don't know, coincidence??? maybe but it was "weird" to say the least.
"Size matters not," to borrow a phrase. Case in point: The bookmark with the tiny cross on it resulted in demons entering a bedroom and dragging a man's wife, by her feet, halfway out a four-story window, with the husband hanging onto his wife by her arms, fighting against the unseen power with all his strength, pinning his legs against the inside wall below the window. For some inexplicable reason, the demons let go when the woman was halfway out the window. A friend of the man, one of Jehovah's Witnesses, helped him find the bookmark with the tiny cross on it and it was burned.
Again?
The S.O.B. did the same thing last weekend over at my house. SHIT!

What exactly is the difference between a demon a "troublesome spirit"?? Please enlighten me...
thanks,
jason
The whole point about the Biblical teaching of demons is that they "turn themselves into angels of light" so those posters replying with disbelief in them or positive experiences of the spirit world are actually proving the Bible and the WT teachings on this topic correct. Now there's one for ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Biblically demons are fallen angels that came with Satan to mislead mankind, many other cultures have a simular usage of demons, but also give them mystical powers and creepy appearences (Ever watch Buffy LMAO)
Troublesome spirits are not fallen angels, or creatures with mystical powers. They are nothing more then just a spirit that is restless and likes to casue trouble, Seldom if ever are they harmful, However they can cause some people physical problems if taunted. There is really nothing to fear of them, they do not grab people and drag them out windows, they not casue a smurf doll to get up and start walking, they can at times throw stuff, and cause things to scoot or move as in a table scooting across the floor ect. But they are not Demons.

This woman's comment about field service and possible demon possession of a tract caught my eye because of the response of the "brother" after hers.
I was out in service one day, by myself and my four kids. We were working some new territory and I was still somewhat new to the whole work... I came to a trailer that had "No soliciting". I left two kids in the car and had two with me and I thought out loud to one of them: "We're not trying to sell something, but I'm still not sure if we're supposed to knock or not..." I decided to leave a tract and ask someone later (it was a three time territory so I could go back to it soon).
That was the last house on the street, so I drove to the next street to work the last 5 houses. The one street was up a somewhat steep hill from the other street and it was more than a few strides from one to the other... Again, I left two kids in the car while I got the houses.
When I got to the last house I FROZE. I was overcome by an INTENSE drive to get back to the car. I could still see the car but I was uncomfortable with having left them alone, and they were parked in front of a Real estate business, so no people was out milling around or anything.
So, I wrote it off to being worried for having left them alone...
I got back to the car, opened the door, sat down and yelled to the two kids to get off the floorboards where they were playing and get their belts on... As I was about to back out and drive away I saw, RIGHT in FRONT of me was that tract that I had left at that trailer.
The kids saw no one and heard no one... The person had to have watched where we went and then walk up the hill and just to give me back the tract.I SMILED from ear to ear. I was so happy that someone had been so considerate to bring me back the tract instead of throwing it away Yeah, I was quite naive (sp)
jerry later told me to throw the tract away because the person has a dangerous mind to have done something like that, but I wrote it off to him being overly protective. I didn't throw the tract away... I kept invisioning a little old lady walking up the hill on her cane just to return the tract, all the while hoping I'd know to bring her a different one seeing how she already had the one I left. (And I think I have no imagination any more )
Then everything bad started happening. The kids were horrendous. even the two "good ones" *G* And I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what the kids' problems were 'cause it was SO unlike them. And then my mind went back to the tract. We were visiting my granny that day and she had me do an errand-- while out I tore that tract into pieces and threw them away at Wal-mart And ever so slowly, the problems got better.
Whether anything had to do with anything doesn't really concern me-- but it was definitely a learning experience to say the least! I no longer work territory alone with all four; I no longer question my hubby when he says do something (well, usually ); and I am MUCH more aware that demon problems DO indeed exist among Jah's people...And if you read all of this, I thank you I know I can really get going at times... What this has to do with the original topic?-- I don't really know any more...
Oh, but having said all of that... should I have lent my Reasoning book to a Wiccan the other day in service?
Part of me thinks I don't have a problem with the demons 'cause I'm not smart enough to have a problem with them I dont use my brain enough sometimes...
You drew the right story from you experience: listen to you husband. But not becuase he has better judgement than you.
When faced with the possibility of demon harrassment logic and human reason fail utterly. The only protection is in two mental attitutes: rejecting the demons utterly and trusting in Jehovah. That includes listening to his channel.
Oh, and I wouldn't worry about the reasoning book, assuming you handed it to a Wiccan as part of your preaching. I am certain that the ordinary business of the ministry, the execution of a direct command from Jehovah, cannot expose us to demon harassment. (Note that the trouble with the tract started after you ignored your husband's instructions to throw it away.)
Yes of course how stupid of her not to realize her problems with her children "acting up" are because she did not listen to her husbands advise.
I also found this comment by Stel Arjen quite interesting.
Teenage Wildlife Stel Arjen From: Deep Space 25, originally from Trill | Oh, yeah, and me being a Faerie Princess and all...

A while back someone had posted another thread about JWZone. I made the comment then about her being a "Faerie Princess" on this thread.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=30209&site=3
I found amusing this reply from JW Zone first she takes the test and comes up Jewish instead of JW then this comment. Seems the Administrator of JW Zone, doesn't know the origin of Faeries nor how they are a big part of the pagan culture. LMFAO ~~ cassiline Faerie Princess
Stel Arjen ~~Cassiline
Now she has changed her name tag to "Teenage Wildlife" (David Bowie song). With her "speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil" smily faces it seems to me that Ms.Stel Arjen and her friends have been reading "Apostste" Web Sites!!! OMG
LMFAOA
The very same Stel Arjen who could not "answer" the questions "right" on the religion poll and JW came up fifth on her list.
1.Orthodox Judaism (100%)
2. Islam (89%)
3. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (80%)
4. Sikhism (79%)
5. Jehovah's Witness (78%)
I really don't know if that is why she changed her name. It or may not have something to do with my comment. Who knows the strangest things make me giggle given the fact we are living so close to "the end"(TM) as we have been since the JW religion started. Whets next? Failed prophecies about Faerie Princess's?
Cassi of the giggling again class
