    G'day Mulan,

Sharon's life story is a "must read' which I show to thinking or departing Dubs.

Mrs Ozzie and I send our sympathies on this anniversary.

    Cheers, Ozzie

    Hi Mulan,

I think I've told you this before, Sharon's story was one of the first I read after finding out the truth about the jw religion. The link to her story was given to me by someone (I think but not sure, that it was LifeValue) in the ex jw chat room on aol.

It is reading the true stories that helped me the most to make up my mind about leaving the religion. All the pain that people have suffered because of this organization is a true sing that it is not "the truth".

    I will always remember Sharon.

    Shari

Hi mulan, what a beautiful women sharon was. I never had a chance to read her story but would love to one day. If you get a chance to direct me to it I would like to read it. I know that anniversaries of the loss of a family member or close friend are hard, especially the first one. None are ever easy, but time does make it more tolerrable. Please know that you are in Tink and my thoughts.

    Mulan and Princess,

SloBoy's spouse here. Mulan I talked to you on the phone this summer. I am sorry for your loss. I have had some experiences that allow me to empathize. My thoughts are with you.

Just fresh from some shunning, (the receiving end). Had to check in for some reality. Came across this thread. I have gotten so much here. I am afraid I need more to be O.K. In that regard I ask the following:

Is it appropriate for me to ask someone to post Sharon's story or a link to it?

My thoughts are with you Mulan and Princess, what a lovely picture of your friend.

I feel I can relate, as I currently have lost 100's of friends, due to lack of mtg attendance on my part and a refusal to ignore child molestation. Perhaps even more so because my ex-brother-in-law died while disfellowshipped. My eyes were opened enuf to go support my sister and their children after his death, but not opened soon enuf to tell him how much I loved him, or thank him for all his kindnesses to me as a child even tho I was ready to do this and said I would even tho he was df'd, he lived three hrs from me and before I could make the next trip north, he died unexpectedley at the age of 48.

Always, always tell the people you love: You love them. Thank you. I'm sorry. I was wrong. Whatever needs to be said. No unfinished business. What a hard lesson. My one true regret.

    Thanx for letting me ramble.

    Love SloBoy's Spouse

Thank you all, again. Today is a good day. I feel good after a sad day yesterday.

I keep hearing from people, all the time, who have read Sharon's story, and how it impacted them for good. I know she would be so proud of herself, and how her experience has helped people.

Sharon's brother is in town, and visited us this week. He wanted some of the genealogy information, on their family, that Sharon had compiled. I got it all together for him, and put it in two large file folders. Before I gave it to him, I slipped a copy of Sharon's story in with all the other papers. Hehehehe. That will give him something to think about, no doubt.

He is married to a former special pioneer (a Chilean woman). They have 3 sons 15-20. The only one still a witness is him. Even his wife is out. Still, he hangs on.

Thank you, Lilacs, for printing the link to the story.

SloBoy's wife: I would love to write to you. Send me an email. I feel so badly for the way things are going for you.

    Welcome ((SloBoy's spouse))

It sure was great meeting SloBoy this summer @ Princess' house. My heart goes out to you two and what you have been through and are still going through. I would like to extend that my e-mail addy is also open to you, if you ever want a listening ear. (of course Mulan is great for listening, just wanted to offer more friendship)

    Hugs to SloBoy's spouse,

    j2bf

Thank you Mulan for letting me butt in here.

Sharon's experience was one of the first I read when my eyes were being to open over a year ago. I'm sorry I never got to meet her....but some day!?!
