"Wandered through the Halls or went outside."

I found myself doing this constantly.

Looked around, wondering "Why?"

I remember one time when everyone was standing for a long time after a song or for some reason. I got tired of standing, so I thought "now this is really stupid". I sat down, and watched the rest of the zombies just standing there waiting to be told to that they could sit. I was never a Witness, but just went to please the Wife, so I was always looking around, wondering "Why?"

Once we sat in a friends camper-van and got drunk.

I used to pretend to look interested...and I would sometimes nod in agreement when the speaker would say something sensational...and scribble away on my note pad...I reckon I would have made a great actress...I was good...NO...I was 'damn' good LOL. I don't know what the hell the speaker was saying...I was too busy day dreaming about what life would be like on the outside...I lived in a world where I appeared to be 'one of them' when really I was thinking "I wanna get outta here".

Ozz rocks our world with another poll!

First of all, I was ready to doze during the *morning* sessions.

Being at Conventions held outdoors I:

Get out of the sun by walking the concourses

Scope the talent

Get a snow-cone from the street vendor outside the stadium, even though were told during some years not to do so.

Check out the scrolling marquee at the stadium across the street for upcoming concerts and events.

Apply suntan lotion again and again

I perfected the art of sitting absolutely still and sleeping with my eyes open, while looking up the occasional verse in my Bible...I never took notes, it was too much work...*yawn*

Why ask why? I slept through it. And when I could, I snuck back to my room with a willing sister for a spot of heavy breathing, then we'd BOTH take a nap. And show up a couple of hours later looking all prim and polite after our very satisfying afternoon delight.

Finest kind.

Other: I am with plmkrzy and lyin eyes. I drew. Stuck in a single spot for an extended period, I created a cartoon character, all his pals, and a first draft cartoon strip in a single day. I also have my PDA with me everywhere, which means I can read my e-mail, catch up on the latest news, play games, balance my chequebook, write a letter. Any time a speaker said something reeeaaalllyy stupid or arrogant, I wrote it down. My honey was so proud...

Did any of you find that the young elders were scarier? I heard the heaviest fire and brimstone rhetoric from them. At least the silver-haired guys had perspective (does that come from living through the last armageddon?).

The older women all looked cold and miserable. You guys are right - there were some lovely barbie dolls there. The skirt might have been a modest length, but the rest of the dress left nothing to the imagination.

Someone should tell these guys they need more than potted chrysanthemums to match a Billy Graham crusade for style and entertainment.

What did you do to keep awake in the afternoon sessions?

I went to the can and did two big lines of snort!.................just kidding!

Nothing stopped me from nodding off when my body was ready to nod off.

You eat a big meal, then sit for a couple of hours listening to the same old same o'.........a nap is inevitable!
