Did You Get A Grandparents Gift?

    Hi All,

I didn't know it but yesterday was Grandparents day. Today my grandaughter brought us a gift from her and her sister and two brothers. That was so thoughtful. The card had a note from each of them, even the 18 month old Emily( a bunch random lines). There was candy, and a $10 bill for each of us, (my wife and I.) It gives you a good feeling to know they really love us. My step-daughter and her kids are very special to me. She has a heart of gold and you can feel the love she has for us. She often expresses it in words too. We're lucky people.

Not a grandparent yet - but my kids gave their grandparents on my husband's side (JW) a gift and we took them to lunch.

So nice to read your post!

Whoops I'm a little late...I meant to send the card out to my parents Friday. Better do it tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder Ken.

and NO I didn't get a grandparent's gift and I damn well better not for twenty more years.

Hmmm, 3 grandkids and not a gift. They are all getting to be close to one year old too. You'd think the little booger eaters could remember us.

    Actually I think it's a lame holiday and I won't encourage it's celebration.

    who's decree?

Musta bin that pesky satan up to his tricks again. Actually, i don't think it was a decree. Decrees are biblical stuff. Biblists still think in 3000 yr old bible terms. Their bodies live in 2002, but their minds live in 1000 bc. Hello!

Edited to add that i really do mean biblists, not biblicists.

I bring my Oma wine, or marzipan every once and awhile. Flowers on rare occasion. I didn't even know Grandparents day existed...whoops.
