This is silly! You all know that Bill Bowen is disfellowshipped. No one's going to meet with him. Yes, commend him for his persistence. But, seriously,why put the letter on this board? To get some people's hopes high that there will really be a meeting because Bill Bowen traveled 1000's of miles?....Yeah. right.

I have to go with Minimus on this one...the JWs dont give a flying ____ who you are. If you are a FORMER JW they are not going to entertain you, let alone sit down with you and discuss THEIR doctrine and policies. They wouldnt do it while he WAS a member why in hell would they do it after they kicked his ass out?

Im sure they got a good laugh about this letter at Bethel UK tho. Huffing and sticking their noses in the air over their superiority in the situation. They didnt give a shit about their differences in doctrine between Bulgaria and the US on the sanctions for taking blood did they? Or the differences on party cards between Malawi and Mexico? Or the changes in being DFd to just being DAd if you decided to take blood as a JW? Or the response differences when they got caught being members of the UN? They do whatever is BEST FOR THEM and they just hope not to many people compare notes on them.

I didn't realize that the child molestation policy in the UK was so different. That is the exact policy that should be carried out in the US. Then the society would be doing what is right for the children.

I agree with The effort to contact the UK jw's headquarters.

Even though this may not succeed it is another piece of evidence "documented" on the lack of concern for the children in the jw congregations.

This will be one more piece to demonstrate to the world the intransigent attitude and policy of the wbts & gb. Showing to all, the arrogance and lack of caring about protecting children from pedophiles.

I request a meeting with the Branch Committee as a representative of silentlambs. I will be having a press conference 30 minutes earlier. Now if the Branch Committee refuses to meet with a child advocate organization, how will that play to the press? If they agree to meet how will that play to the GB? Can elders meet with a df person? Certainly. If they wish to see I am not a radical idiot who is sincere it would certainly be to their advantage to meet. This is a fair offer, they would have much to learn and gain by meeting with me. So we will see if there is a sincere interest in protecting children or if the only interest is in protecting the organization.
