Ok, this whole Issue of Iraq seems to be causing alot of problems among friends. Alot of complaints are thrown at the U.S. with the masses screaming, "Stop being the Policeman of the World". So I propose that we quit being the policeman. The question then becomes, "Well then who will stop all the madmen???" Ah! I have a solution! FRANCE will now become the worlds Policeman! Now many here will question that solution, namely becuase FRANCE's national motto is 'We Surrender!" But hey, I have solved that to! We here in the U.S. are going to Clone Napoleon! Then we will give france a brand new Division of Abram M1A2s and Walla! Instant Policemen!!! (Russia, and the U.K. be warned, Napoleon still doesnt like you...something about Waterloo).
LMAO @ Mike Musto.....
Stop trying to get your 15 minutes on a db, man!!!!

I don't think many would have a problem with the US or a coallition invading Iraq again if some clear and covincing reasons for doing so could be produced. One has to wonder why the world community and the UN has not been sufficiently convinced if the evidence is so "abundant and clear".
Why has the US not pushed the whole Iraq thing in the last 10 years and waited until now? Why did they not finish the job they set out to do in the Gulf War? Were not these the same reasons we heard then? So why now?
It appears the Bush administration wants Iraq dealt with and must capitalize on the whole September 11/terror thing before this "opportunity" passes. In times of fear and paranoia, the government knows they don't need as strong arguments to convince their people to go to war.
The problem is if they do go to war, what precedents will this set for other countries that need a reason to invade those that they have problems with. Will the US stand up to a country like China or Russia if they become aggressors against territories they are in conflict with or will they turn blind eyes to these more powerful nations? Will an invasion of Iraq result in more favorable mid-east relations or will it worsen them? Bottom line - will these invasions have the desired effect of greater world security and peace?
The world community is not necessarily indefinitely opposed to an invasion of Iraq imo, they just are demanding more convincing arguments.
Path
Pathofhorns,
I agree 100%
If we want to keep a moral high ground then the US/Britain cannot start a war on someone who has not fired a shot (significantly) at "us" in years. "We" would be the aggressor
I am appalled at a further loss of human life, and it would be the innocent who would suffer. For what?
So western politicians make a name in history and rich westerners sleep a little more soundly because the media will stop giving horror stories about Iraq ?
Dont make Watchtower predictions come true!
Religion MUST be done away with.

crazyperson, Yea, I guess you're right. The US has only done shady shit to a small percentage of our own. Mostly minorities, military personel and prisoners. They only did a few things to isolated segments of the general population.
As for the crack thing, I never really liked it that much. I prefer weed as it doesn't cause me to want to NUKE anybody. I've learned from experience that DRINKING too much can cause normal people to get violent though. You should check yourself, man.
Siegswife,
I am familiar with some of the experiments the U.S. Military has done. I have seen the tapes of Army troops rushing in to 'attack' right after nukes went off in Neveda. But what you fail to realize is that the Gov. did not know of all the dangers. There was once a proposal to nuke the California Grapevine so Amtrack could run straight thru to L.A. And while letting 200 black men die of syphilis is HORRIBLE, it is not as bad as Six Million Jews getting BBQ'd. The point I am making is that none of the Examples you have given are anywhere near the HORROR commited by HITLER, STALIN, POL POT, The JAPANESE, etc...etc...etc.. How far do you want to take this stuff back??? All govenments have done bad things in the past. Would you like us to list some UK offenses??? The point I am making is that while the U.S. government has commited some crimes, they were not ATTROCITIES. oooohhh the U.S. is sooo bad yet its ok for SADDAM to starve millions of his own people??
Why did they not finish the job they set out to do in the Gulf War?
Thank the previous wars results to the U.N. We were there to LIBERATE Kuwait, not get rid of Suddam Hussien. Remember, lets all play nice!
I miss the old 151.... you know the one who used to keep me frustrated
I miss the old "not that bright" 151. Now you went and developed substance and I must say it's quite a turn off. I like my men dumb and happy. j/k
