Mary each and every day they the medical research labratories are coming out with new develoments in cancer treatments. Please don't give up on yourself Mary. I am sure that there are some government programs that will pay for a person that is willing to try out new experimental programs and drug therapy. There may be foundations that are set up for rare forms of cancer and are even willing to assist in a finicial way. I would speak to your oncologist immediately about this or the cancer foundation itself and explain your situation to them. I am sure you will find the help you seek. Please be strong and kind to yourself. I hope you have a loved one you can share your pain with and remember you have many friends here who care a great deal for you. Mary we love you dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you Mary.

Mary, I'm so sorry.

I think you may be kidding about the money, but listen to OFC. If not, could you recommend a reputable method of donation that might filter its way down to you, please let us know.

I was actually just kidding about the money; I don't expect anyone else to pay for my treatments. The problem in both Canada and the USA is that neither our publically funded health care system OR our benefits package for extended health care, will pay for any treatment that doesn't involve drugs, drugs, and more drugs. If you go to a place like the Gerson Institute where they treat you using natural methods, forget it, they won't pay a cent. This is the pharmacutical industry pulling this crap; after all, you can't make a hefty profit from someone drinking carrot juice or eating tomatoes now can we? It's far better to have them carve you up like a turkey at Thanksgiving rather than consider alternative methods.

No matter how much evidence there is, showing that natural therapy CAN help many people recover from cancer, it will not be acknowledged. They're as stubborn about that, as the Governing Body is about their policies on child molestation. Proof and evidence mean nothing.

I'm not giving up though; I've bought books on meditation, cleanses, acupuncture, and chinese medicine and hopefully it'll do something good.

Once again, thanks for all your comments and your support, I really appreciate it. And yes I have lots of support from my family and friends and co-workers, many who have suffered with cancer too.

I'll keep you posted as to what happens next.

(((((((((Mary))))))))) I'm sorry to hear of your news. You have a long, hard road ahead of you, no matter what modality of treatment you choose.

My only suggestion is to send a biopsy to MD Anderson hospital in Houston, TX. to get a second opinion. It is THE cancer hospital in the U.S.A.
