Princess and I are sitting on the bed, drinking Scotch, and the children are sleeping.........they need it..............and so do we.

After two days, we agree, we should have left the kids at home. Just kidding. Today was difficult, but we have high hopes for tomorrow.

Princess, her two children, and I, were ready to get on the log, for Splash Mountain, and the little girl refused to do it..........screaming. So, the little Prince and I went on it alone. It was GREAT!! It must have been 90 today, so the big wave of water that hit me was very refreshing. Most of the day we dealt with whining, difficult, crying kids. We overheard one older couple saying "Disneyland would be great, if it weren't for all the crying children."

After dinner we went to California Adventure. On they way there (we walk from our hotel....very close) and the little Prince went on meltdown again. One woman said to us, "Disneyland is the happiest place on earth." Well that was a bit too much for Princess who retorted "Why don't you go in and be happy!?" I stifled a big laugh, as the woman muttered something and kept walking. After we got there, I went on an incredible roller coaster, called California Screamin', by myself. It was so fun!!!!

Tomorrow, we are meeting Saltiest, from this board. We will have dinner together and go in the hotel pool. It has to be a good day tomorrow.

WOOHOO! Have fun you guys. I guess the kids will have the "time of their lives".

Is that why you're drinking scotch?

    Cheers, Ozzie

One very good thing is that there are NO lines. The waitress at the hotel said it is deserted this week. It is pretty empty, actually. We actually haven't had to wait in any lines. We seem to just walk into every attraction or ride.

    Everyone is concernd about 9/11

Now would be a good time to visit all the land marks if you could only squeez them all in to a couple of days.

Thats great. If you get a chance eat at the Blue Bayou Restaurant. It is really cool. You eat dinner inside the Pirates of the Carribean ride.

Also Just so you know If you and princess both want to go on the ride and the kids don't you can take them in line with you and they can wait for you with the ride operator why you go on.

She says the food is crap though, but the ambiance is nice. Pretty much all the food at Disneyland is crap though, INCLUDING the Dennys across the street.

I just don't get it! With all that is going on at Disneyland, that idiot couple would notice that!

Don't feel bad, though. When I took my daughter for the first time when she was 3 1/2 (too young IMO, now) she also had a MAJOR meltdown right under that tunnel that leads into ToonTown. I remember some man grumbling under his breath! Creep! Like these people NEVER did that when they were kids.

Usually, I don't even hear other peoples kids fussing or crying. One, I'm generally too busy trying to keep the reins on my own brood to notice. Or, I'm grateful it's NOT my kid and I feel much sympathy for the parent of the tantrumming child.

NOTICE TO PEOPLE THAT GO TO PLACES THAT IS GEARED FOR CHILDREN:
If CRYING, SCREAMING, TANTRUMS, OR WHINING, OFFENDS YOU, DON'T GO! Thank you.

    LOL! Good one, Princess!

I would have probably just said "oh, shut the f**k up!*

We took our kids in July. My son, who is 6, went for the first time. He liked it, but standing in the lines were hard for him. They need to get more of the "kids" rides on fast pass. We stood in line forever to go on Peter pan, which he loved.

Enjoy the rest of your trip. I'm waving from the desert (look east)

    Andee
