Okay, mind out of the gutter now!!! What I was wondering is, does size really matter in a religion. After all JW's are one of the worlds smaller religions ... 6 Million is not large! Catholics are over 900 million, Muslims are huge and many other religions out their are pretty big. So when you think about this, would a God of the universe really want to have such a small amount of followers! Just something I was thinking about.

    Does size matter?

<<mind stays in gutter>> yes size does matter.

Don't know or care if it matters relating to religion.

I thought it was all in how you use it ;) You know with preaching, pressuring and spinning things to your advantage with the Bible.

Size is important. To dubs increasing size is Gods blessing........decreasing size is sifting out etc. They would like things to be increasing though. Dubs would like to be greater in number but I doubt that will happen.

You show me your religion, and I'll show you mine, then we'll know who has Jehovah's blessing!

Actually, big or small, it doesn't matter to our brothers, either way they seem to think they have the monopoly on truth!

    • Scenario 1

Wow, brothers, we must be living in the time of the end as there has been an extraordinary increase in publishers in our part of the vineyard, let us take heart from the words of Isaiah the prophet:

    Isaiah 60:22:
"The little one himself will become a thousand, and the small one a mighty nation. I myself, Jehovah, shall speed it up in its own time."

    • Scenario 2

Alas, brothers, there has been a decrease of publishers in our part of the vineyard. But take heart, this must mean that we are living in the time of the end, and a final sifting work is taking place:

    Matthew 24:11-13:
"And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved."

If you are a Jehovah's Witness all your life, you will have no idea if your religion is really big or not. Only when someone sees your religion who has already sampled many other religions, it's actually only then when you can finally grasp how large your faith truly is.

And so, as a born-to witness, I'm not entirely sure whether my religion is big or not. Perhaps this might be something we may have some further theological discussions on.
