WHAT MAKES YOU THE ANGRIEST?

After reading the post on Bidding Wars at Bethel, it reminded me of something that happened at a DC one year. It occured about 12-14 years ago in San Diego at the then Jack Murphy Stadium, now Qualcomm. Everyday, the gates would open at 7:00 a.m. to the general audience. Of course, workers were already inside and underneath the stadium preparing the food for the day. Anyone who has been to the DC in SD knows that the PRIME seating location is on the Plaza level underneath the Press(?) level in the shade. Well, one particular year I was at the assembly at 5 am to prepare the hoagies. So, I did as everyone else did and placed my books in the stadium at 7 o'clock, because we were told not to do so until 7 o'clock. I get to the Plaza level and what the hell? Almost every seat has already been taken with blankets sprawled out and WT's draped over the upright seats. How the hell could they already be saved and no one around to be saving them? That was the first thing that pissed me off. I ended up finding a couple of empties, one for me and one for a good friend of mine who was working with me. In the shade with the stage facing us. They don't get much better than that.

A little background for anyone who has never been to SD for an assembly: It looks like a tent/umbrella city in the sunny areas(that's about 80% of the stadium). If you happen to get a seat in the sunny areas, do not plan on seeing the stage for most of the weekend as your view will be blocked by hundreds of umbrellas and tarps set up. The only time they come down is for the drama. So if you manage to sit high enough in some levels where there are no umbrellas directly in front of you, you might be able to see the stage.

Anyways, I go back to the tunnel to work and we finish up a few minutes before the program starts. My buddy and I go to our section and look for our bookbags and mags that I had placed on a couple chairs. We can't find them anywhere. The seats I had placed them on now have a suit jacket covering them with a bookbag under the seats. I was getting pretty upset. So we wondered where in the hell our books went and thought that maybe someone accidentally misplaced our stuff for some reason. Sure enough, about 4 aisles down, our bookbags and mags were on the outside of the aisle leaning against the chair - on the steps! I was pissed as hell. I went down and picked up our stuff and huffed back up to our original seats and gathered the suit coat and bookbag and sat our stuff down where it was in the first place. I then took the jacket and bookbag to the top of the stairs and gave them to the attendant and told him that it appeared someone "dropped these" outside of the aisle. He thanked me and placed them aside.

Before and during the song, my friend and I were waiting for the idiot to show up who sniped our seats and he did. He had a look of total confusion and then anger and motioned to us that we were in his seats. I shook my head with an ugly look and pointed to the attendant. He looked even more pissed and walked back up the stairs. That was the last we saw of him that weekend.

I'll teach anyone a lesson if they are deserving of one. Otherwise, I am pretty well laid back and don't really care if I'm rubbed the wrong way. There are just some things that piss me off and I will not stand for, like this idiot did.
