Unbelieveable!! Getting a dying man to change his will just before he dies and then fighting his daughter for it!!!!! No wonder I hate them.
Does that 'church' need a Serious ass-kick or what.
The bastards.
I love this comment: "Although Roehrick wouldn't discuss the settlement details, he said the agreement satisfied the family. None of the estate will be given to the church."
That's disgusting! What's the likelyhood that Brooklyn was involved?
And to think I wasted all my childhood in that stupid cult.

Jesus Herbert Christ.
When I was a 'hovah at the Hillyard cong. here in Spokane, there was an old timer that left her estate to the cong. It was like a quarter mill or something. We were able to completely renovate the hall, add on to it, and pave the parking lot. I wonder if the family contested THAT will and lost.

Incredible
When I was still a JW, the PO in the congregation, an old gentleman asked me to come by his home to talk with him. He never attended the meetings but had a history dating back to Rutherford and was acquainted with him. He didn't have much money($16,000) but he put my name as a joint account person so when he died I could just draw the money out for the congregation. A trusting soul. I forgot about it and was out of the congregation for years and I got a call that he had died. I went to the bank and drew out the money and gave it to the congregation. See, that proves I'm honest. I don't think his family was too thrilled but I just did what the old man wished.

Maybe the family that stood up to the Borg should be made aware of the proposed class-action suit??!!
