A couple of weeks ago, Francois recommended imbibing Tyrells Long Flat Red, and I must admit, I did.

The strange thing is, tonight Mrs Ozzie and I wanted to have a mild celebration about the 'Sunday' programme, so we stopped off at the Apostates Restaurant, and guess which wine I took along to celebrate with?

You got it, a bottle of Tyrells Long Flat Red.

Boy, has it got a kick in it! Mrs Ozzie's still 'snoozing it off' !!

Me? I feel very mellow, I might even speak nicely to ......................!!!

Anyhow, if Francois and Ozzie can recommend it, maybe it's wortha try, eh?

Especially made for celebrating the TV exposures.

    Cheers, Ozzie

    G'day Queenie,

No, it's not the name for it, but it's the way it's known to quite a number. The owner and his wife are VERY sympathetic to those who've been abused by the Borg and are more than happy to offer hospitality to posters and other exDubs...along with a shiraz, of course!

    Cheers, Ozzie

    Hello Ozzie,

I just can't imagine myself ordering a bottle of wine called LONG FAT REDBUD. It sounds like a strange bird or something. How on earth does someone come up with a name like that? It would have to be good with a name like that, I suppose. Do you know if this is available in the U.S.? I can't figure out where in the heck Francois really lives......but I have a feeling that he just might be in the states. How 'bout it Frank?? What made you try a wine with a name like that? It must have been highly recommended by someone. It sort of reminds me of.......who ate the first artichoke?? That person must have really been hungry. dj

    Ozzie:

When you said "Francois taught me a bad habit", I thought it's got something to do with sex or wine.

Hee hee... I was not disappointed.

I'll be looking for some Tyrell's Long Flat Red at the local Liquour Control Board of Ontario in the near future.

    Love, Scully

    G'Day Ozzie:

Well I must say, the title of your thread had me wondering what you were up to now!

I glad to see it is a good "bad habit".

I enjoy your wine reviews and when I had dinner out with friends a couple days ago, I tried a glass (yes ONLY a glass as I had to drive home) of Australian Shiraz (can't remember the actual name of it though). It was absolutely delightful....something about mulberries. I'll have to go back to that restaurant just to find out what kind it was.

Thanks for sharing your 'expertise' with us, Ozzie and to Francois for teaching you his bad habits.
