Funny you should bring this up, Seed. I was just thinking today that when people say how bad everything is (people like the JWs), the thing to ask is "compared to what?" Compared to the Medieval tortures and starvation? Compared to the Bubonic Plague? I agree that we do live in a beautiful world.
Another thing while I'm on a tangent, evolutionarily speaking, humans are an enormously successful species. Additionally, they aren't all that violent when you compare them to the animal kingdom--now there's violence!

I just watched tonight what humans did to other humans in Nova Scotia after 9/11, when the planes got grounded there. I didn't see any discrimination there, but I do in your post.
