drawing on as much sympathy i can between pizza slices i am left with .....stiff shit ???

    Pizza? Bleah!

Im sorry pal, are you so desperate for a post or sympathy .......

Not really, I just like to keep my friends in the picture.

Now that you are a made man here @ JWD, is there a minimum requirement of posts you must put out to maintain your position ???

The word that escapes you is productive.

Oh and BTW....doofus...must be an X sparky !!

Nah, just a super-fit ladder climber who resembles a Greek god in muscalature

The one thats half horse half man? Sometimes its just better to BREAK the damn thing than to sprain it. Sprains seem to take longer to heal. So dammit...get it RIGHT next time will ya? If you dont break it...go further up the ladder and do it AGAIN.

    Oh No, Michael. ((((((HUGS))))))

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident! It could have been so much worse. A fellow I work with was on his ladder, trying to do some work on his gutters, and the ladder slipped, and he fell two stories, catching his leg, and twisting it as he fell. He was in the hospital for nearly six weeks, having to have metal inserts placed in his leg because the bone was too badly damaged. It took three surgeries to fix the problems. He was in a wheel chair for months, and then on a walker, and then on a cane. He still walks with a limp. He was only 39 when it happened. He says he feels like an old man now.

You take care of yourself my friend! Feel better and mend quickly.

Well that sucks. Sounds like you know how to deal with it. Might be a bit difficult to elevate that leg while standing in the pub though.

This could be the perfect time to review your favorite watchtower and awakes.

I've never fallen off a ladder but I once had a really nasty paper cut. It got better though.

Hope you enjoy your R&R and it doesn't interfere too much with your bar-standing duties - great excuse for falling over coming out the pub though! ... "I sprained my ankle ... hic"

    Eman........

Don't they have barstools in that pub of yours??

Be sure to wince and moan whenever you try to bear weight on your ankle while you're there, and make sure your friends keep your glass well topped-up for analgesic purposes.

    Get well soon!
    Love, Scully

Michael, I am so sorry, but glad it wasn't a fall from higher up the ladder. It sure could have been more serious.

I had a sprained ankle early this summer, and hadn't done anything!! It was swollen, and extremely painful. All I had done is walk in a 5K walk to raise money for breast cancer research. I couldn't believe it when the doctor said I had a 'stress sprain' from walking. I guess I had better do some stretches next time.

Take care, and have a pint for me!!
