Watch how she uses those pain meds. They're addictive much quicker than people think. Good to have while you're in pain, but best to get off as soon as possible. Sorry to preach, but I'm a lifer and I don't want any more company.

Best to you and your wife.

Glad to hear Tink is feeling a little better. I know how she feels I had them myself, and yes they can be very painful. When she has her surgery that pain will surely be gone, but she may have to watch what she eats. The funny thing with me is there was one food I ate after that for a little while made me feel sick, mine was peanuts and hot dogs. It doesn't happen to everyone, so she may be just fine. She will also have to take it very easy when she gets home. This operation is considered a major surgery, so when she comes home even though she may at times feel like she can do lots of things, like lifting and house cleaning, she may find it will tire herself out. Everyone reacts differently to surgery, it took me about 6 weeks to feel good. TINK! rest, rest, rest, and please sweetie Do Not lift anything. All the Best to you.

I kept my gallstones, they are so funny, like octagon pebbles, lots of them, the kids got a kick out of looking at them. The doctor asked me if I wanted them.

Hope you recover quickly. Dont worry, it is the best thing you can do. I had mine out years back, and i am so much better today because of it. You wont believe what a difference it will make.

    Best of luck

    Hi CC,

I am glad that you atleast got a proper diagnosis this time! Are they going to remove it via laproscopy? I think that's how it's spelled If they do and I think they should, then she will be out or the hospital in no time with a teeny tiny little scar. I know that is how it is usually done now. ((((((((TINK)))))))))))

DJ, we will find out Monday but I'm pretty sure it will be done laproscopically. We know for sure it can not be disolved or "blasted" ultrasonically. That procedure is usually used on Kidney stones. She's still zonked out, but I have been checking on her frequently and she's resting and not in too much pain. I'll be watching her like a hawk all weekend. We have great neighbors also, who will be helping me care for her. Thanks so much for all your concern and encouraging comments. I'll keep you updated.

Francois, thanks for the advice. Tink hates taking medicine of any kind, so I don't think she'll have trouble with addiction. I know it is easy to get addicted and many have had that happen to them. We appreciate your concern. Thank You.

Tell her to stay away from protien. That is what brings on the attacks. Peanut butter always brought mine on.

Please pass on our good wishes for a speedy recovery - and tell her to wave at Zazu, who is in the hospital as we type.

Good thing we don't believe in omens any more................"Could this be Armageddon? Or just God's curse on those who leave His Clean Organization."

Lol.......or just crappy gallstones and Zaz's stroke (she's doing much better, btw.).

waiting (looking over her shoulder now.)

Hey Waiting, Give Zazu our love if you get a chance. Hope Zaz has a speedy recovery.

Thanks Lilacs, Tink ate some peanut butter oatmeal cookies early this week and had an attack that she didn't tell me about till a day or two later. I just got back from the store with veggies and skinless chicken breast to broil.
