If you were born 150 years ago you sure wouldn't have been a Jehovah's Witness because they didn't even exist.

    Ken,

I don't know if it ruins a person, as far as finding another religion. Each person is different, that's for sure. I think what it does do, is it opens up your eyes. I mean if JW's could be so "sincerely wrong", then how can other faith's be justified.

Actually, this is not a bad thing. Being free from religion altogether is the most natural thing for us. Being spiritual is what we should really try to work at. Exiting JW's gives us the perfect opportunity.

There is a certain "reality check" when exiting JW's that doesn't happen with other religions. JW's have so "proved" that the other religions are in error, that when you discover they are also part of that class, then there just isn't any other religion that can give the answers that we need.

I'm not dogging anyone who has chosen another faith or belief. It certainly is a personal decision. Some folks need to "belong" to something. To be around people, to sing together, to associate together in the spirit of "faith" inside a building.

Personally, I have moved way beyond that need. I like my freedom. I feel spiritually enlightened. I'm not afraid anymore.

    Love and Light,

    Sentinel/Karen
