I like it!!! Very good move. Can we do this in real life too?

The question is will anybody use it? Personally I think curiousity will win out every time.

Simon, oh know not....not....not cyber shunning.

Yes, I think it's usefull for troll-type posts but I can't see people using it when they are arguing ... too tempting to just 'see what they said' me-thinks.

Simon,
I agree! I was just being a wise____! It is not shunning because no one gets hurt or even is aware that they've been ignored. I just thought I'd tell you this.....in case your accused by some other brain dead idiot besides me. Love You....dj

"Curiosity killed the cat." - the little click wouldn't work in an argument, imho.
But for people who we consistently ignore anyway? ie: Fred? Yep, he's gonna be done clicked by me.
Thanks much, Simon!

ps: Elsewhere! That was neat how you circled the click up top. Gee, wish I could do stuff like that...............................
Don't bother explaining it though. It'll never sink in. I've come to accept computer illiteracy. Duh.

Thanks Elsewhere for asking that question. I had just noticed that box and was searching all over for a thread/announcement I might have missed on it.
Ok, let me get this straight, if you don't want to see the thread, you hit the box? But if you decide you really want to keep track of what's going on, you can click on it again and bring it back?
Just give me some time, I'll try to figure it out. Please don't think I'm shunning anyone if I hit the button by accident.

ps, ok (lol) I'm clicking and unclicking my box and waiting's right above me, What happens if I leave our box blank? Does everyone else still see it?? Is it just me that doesn't have the post?
<now, who's post do I want to go click on????>

Clicking the box next to the posters name toggles whether their posts appear or not. Once someone's posts are hidden, they just appear as a single line in every thread that you view. Another click expands them again and you are back to normal.
It will be clearer when the image changes (I will come up with a suitable little logo) but it was pretty much working apart from that so I thought "what they hell!".

Doesn't seem to work for me - every page I load now says "Error" in the status bar. Clicking the - does nothing. I'm running IE 6 on XP. The javascript error is:
Line: 60
Char: 4
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
