LisaRose: That is so helpful. A few years ago I had problems with my blood pressure,

so I ask you friends here and walking was a way to lower your blood pressure, the comments

from most. Well I lower my blood pressure by walking.

So the same with Vertigo, I know I should see my doctor but the advice from you folks are

    so helpful. Thanks again.

I've had vertigo for about thirty years now, so I've just learned to live with it. The only major change I made, and do mean MAJOR was five years ago I stopped drinking 80 proof alcohol, since after a night of having a few I usually wake up with a spinning head. I'm surprised I was able to stop since i always had few drinks every night, guess it was time to cut out 80 proof now that I think about it. Just wine and beer for me now.

I just remembered that my husband usually has problems when he eats a lot of salty nuts, he was munching on them at work instead of eating a real lunch. It may have something to do with being dehydrated, which is maybe why Shirly W had issues after drinking alcohol, alcohol can cause dehydration.

    Just a thought

LisaRose you are scaring me, have you talk with my wife. I purchased a

10oz can of deluxe mixed nuts last week and ate them in two days.

Get this checked. I've suffered with it occasionally, almost always an inner ear thing, but you don't want to mess around with it, especially if you aren't able to function normally (walking, driving, going up and down stairs, etc.)

What worked for me was a scopolamine patch (placed behind one ear), available over the counter, recommended by my doctor after she examined me.

I get vertigo. I think mine stems from stress-induced migraines that turns into vertigo...do you suffer migraines?

Oogie: No migraines. What I knew about Vertigo was the Alfred Hitchcock movie

"Vertigo" the guy had a fear of heights.
