Thanks to a very good friend, I have the Swingle Singers back in my life again, after being without their company for a good 25 years.
If you don't know who they are, your life is missing a great experience in genuine culture.

Is Lyman one of them ...?
I knew Lyman. I even knew his DAD! "Doc" Swingle. "Doc" liked me. "Doc" was a major old-timer Bible Student who was also a pharmacologist. I dated Lyman's niece, Rae Lee. Rae Lee is my sister's best friend to this day. I knew her father Fran (Lyman's youngest brother), mother Donnabelle and Lyman's sister Betty. Betty's son Steve Ruhlander was best man at my wedding. I introduced Betty to her future husband, Jess Thomas. Lyman performed the wedding ceremony for his sister Betty in Maywood, California and I played the piano at that wedding. I liked Lyman. He was a great guy in my experience with him.
No. The "Swingle Singers" were a French group. No connection to Lyman that I know about. The Swingle Singers give great music. Lyman gave great "cult."

genuine culture
Please elucidate, oh wise one! Just what is genuine culture? Is there ungenuine culture?
You wouldn't be guilty of using words without meaning, would you Farks, old son?
Methinks the "other place" may be snowed but would they here?
Cheers, Ozzie

Everything is subjective. Except my subjective is better than everyone else's subjective!
Hope that helps!

Okay, do I dare ask? Who are the Swingle Singers???
...And what's there favorite pizza topping?
The Swingle Singers are/were a French group who became famous by singing Bach fugues A Capella, only adding a snare drum and a base violin for rhythm. They showed me that Bach was the greatest jazz composer who ever lived, and in fact INVENTED jazz some 300 years ago! Of course, this all subjective, but I've already made my statement about "subjective!"
The French don't like pizza. They're too busy coming up with incredibly delicious sauces to cover up the taste of their rancid meats!
