My website has prompted yet another interesting email message.

Edited to add: In response to my collection of WT pictures (which are mostly scenes of death and destruction) published at http://quotes.jehovahswitnesses.com/pictures.htm an impressionable young mind has sent me the following:

These pictures above show the twin towers and a plane. I'm confused. Did the Watchtower prophesize about the Sept 11 attacks? It sure look like it. Could you please exlain why these pictures are on the 70s and 80s covers of Watchtower magazines? I am only 13 years old and am very curious about this. Thank you and God bless A fellow Sister :)

My feeling is it is just coincidence....in their attempt to explain what modern tech means to them, the emphasised the largerst and tallest building, large aircraft, and missels. Would a person think Time Magazine foresaw 9-11 if these pictures (without the biblical phrases) were put on the front cover of their magazine 20 or 30 years ago...I don't think so. Unfortuanely the watchtower used them and I am sure the dubs will use it to 'enforce' the are the truth...totally contradicting what the original article was in the first place.

Wow--those pic are odd, kinda eerie if ya ask me, but it's far from a prophesy on the WT's part. It's more like bad art. The WT trying to demostrate modern technology to a very big scale=big building, turbo jet.

also please go back to the WT 3/1/79 (page 23) which states that - writings since the Christian part of god's word are not INSPIRED AND ARE INFALLIBLE.

which means a bunch of imperfect men are running the organization and will make mistakes.!
