I`m lucky enough to finish work at around 3:30 on most days.
Do you know what I do then?
4 pm Hot relaxing bath.
4.45 pm Start preparing dinner for family.
6 pm Watch the evening news, eat dinner, enjoy glass of wine. May enjoy unmentionable activities, read a good book, watch a recommended video.
8.30 pm Log on to this site.
9.30 pm Down the pub for a few beers.
Midnight: ZZZzzzzzzzz...
Now lets get real here. How could I possibly attend meetings when I`m so busy?
Englishman.

Hey Englishman
I heard that you can find fine spiritual food over there in those pubs.

Englishman,
You're already in paradise - what would you want with a new world? No videos, pubs, wine shops or internet.

If the Society decided to reduce the number of meetings per week, do you think for one New York Second the pubs would COMPLAIN?? Oh my god...how I used to pray for snow so we'd get a break WITHOUT GUILT once in a while from those dreary mind numbing meetings. Well Im in Florida now...so that tack doesnt work any more. They successfully eliminated 5 of the EIGHT days they used to have District Assemblies didnt they? Nobody cared much. They successfully weaned and then eliminated the FOOD at assemblies didnt they? Yeah...some complained about missing the hoagies and hearburn, but they are STILL sleeping all afternoon anyway, if not from boredom from eating that ham with mayo sandwich that spoiled in the bag from when they made it at 6 that morning. They changed to not CHARGING for literature...nobody flinched, left over it yes...flinched, no. They changed the GENERATION by casually mentioning it and then ignoring anything said about it. They changed the fact that all in CHARGE in Brooklyn HAD to be of the annointed to "Oh...gosh, the Bible doesnt SAY you have to be of the annointed to lead Jehovahs people does it?" thus opening the door for the myriads of "other sheep" lawyer types they brought onboard at "Jehovahs" behest. Nope...nobody is gonna care if they drop a meeting. Its not spiritual food anyway, its spiritually reheated leftovers. They would still have exactly the same percentage of attendance. That would be the irony of it. The content is what is killing attendance.
The R&F need to be WHIPPED into submission tho...they cant be TRUSTED to come to meetings and they cant be TRUSTED to go out in service unless threatened with losing their family members to the maw of the Society.
"You WILL go to the meetings, you WILL sit there and take it and you WILL LIKE IT or you can kiss your loved ones goodbye...AND YOUR LITTLE DOG TOO!! Bwah hahahhahaaaa!!!!"

I have to laugh at this, you think you guys have or [had] it bad, I have meetings just about everyday, each meeting is one hour long.
Sundays, the studies start at 1:30, and we're still there till after 5pm, you just can't get rid of us, it's not that there are not enough hours in the days, just npot enough studies in my life!

well it may be hard to grasp this ......
but if the meetings were lessend.....the magazine sales would go down...that would be a bad thing.......
tell me...how is it that the literature is free , I mean on a donation basis only in some countries......and charged for in others.......
a nickle is not a lot of money...unless you multiply it 20 million times by 52, but then that just the magazines....... how about the book study.....and the support books, InsigHt and the like......
and then of course we have the BOUND VOLUMES....payinf for the magazines twice as it were....oh yah this is non profit alright.
the meetings NEVER STOP till the WTBTS the publishing company goes under....then the investments will go into
the research for bloodless surgery....oh wait they are already there.............or into ANNUITIES........yep since 1998 annuities
anyone care to explain thishttp://www.ins.state.ny.us/cdcha.htm#CHAW
will anyone ask these questions!
I will
