That's right.....I am so excited. Filthy bought tickets to take me to a concert.......BB KING and KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD today! It happens to be in an outdoor auditorium and unfortunately it is a little overcast and chilly-but I look at it as more reason to "cuddle" up under a blanket and listen to some great blues music!
I am a huge blue's hound and can't wait to see these guys perform!

I was in Memphis some years ago, caught BB at his place on Bourbon Street....man, those guys can really get the bones hopping!

(((Scooter))), how are you? You are in for a real treat. Kenny Wayne is awesome, he is from my hometown of Shreveport. He is a super nice guy, I repaired his hail damages car about 8 years ago, and we talked about 30 minutes. His dad was a local DJ here (Shotgun Ken Shepard) and his son would come into the station and play live all the time it was great. If you get a chance, call him Shotgun Jr, he will think you are from Shreveport and want to talk to you.

The concert was fantastic! Shane West was okay......but I think he will get better w/age. We got to see the Fabulous Thunderbirds (fantastic harmonica player)......but to my disappointment, Kenny Wayne Sheperd played his guitar WITH the Fab. T-birds. Bummer. I really wanted to see his band.......and BB King. Wow........Let's just say I had a whole lot of me shakin! LOL.......
It was chilly and drizzly......but Filthy and I cuddled under the blanket and kept each other warm.
yes nerdgirl, johnny lang grew up in st cloud---he used to play at the red carpet all the time when he was about 14 or so. and i don't think i want to know what was going on under that blanket--MY EYES, MY EYES--THEY'RE BURNING!!!!!!!!!!!!! heehee
Put me down for being a blues man .My favorite BB King song is Thrill is gone . he was also in the blues bros. 2000 movie of which I love the music to those movies .
