The 21-year-old American captured her eighth tournament victory of 2002, one more than her older sister Venus. Serena already took her sister's Wimbledon and U.S. Open crowns, as well as the French Open championship - all coming over Venus.
"I am very happy to have won my eighth title this year," Serena said. "I have to thank my God, Jehovah for allowing me to have a year such as this. Anastasia had a great week, especially beating Kim (Clijsters) yesterday. I knew I had to be on my toes."

This reminds me how religious football players thank Jesus for their victories and pray to him. I wonder if anyone has told Serena the offical position of the WTS on competitive sports.
I think some young brothers and sisters should have a file on these sisters to show the elders when they come calling to tell them that competing in sports is a no-no.
